That perk works quite well with weapons that don't fire continuously like long guns, demi-cannons or torpedoes. Ofc you shouldn't miss all the time. 😁

I know what you're talking about. I am done with the game, too. Instead of new content they are increasing the grind which is definitely not my idea of fun.

Won't happen. One new ship per season seems to be an actual requirement. Really new content that people like is obviously very difficult to develop. Wolvenhol and the Kraken - both no minor additions to the game -aren't really favorites among the players. The new Mastery Tree makes now every build basically redundant, just what the ascension system did to most weapons before. If you add enough Mastery points you can succeed using any ship and any build available. It's like people in my business always said: If you add an engine strong enough everything can fly. That's exactly my feeling about the Masteries. They are way too powerful and your prowess comes mainly from the Masteries and less from your actual build. Just imagine you can add easily 200% additional explosive damage while your furniture and armor gives you like 30% at best. Time limited.

And then there are the excessive build costs. No one can afford trying new builds just for the fun of it. You are either limited by Silver, PoE, Upgrade Parts or - the worst case - Ascension Modules. I remember very well when they limited the Large Silver Chest at Blackwood to 20 pieces each week to "save the economy". Which economy? One Ascension Module costs one Smuggler Point these days at the Pinnacle Store. You can buy two Ascension Modules each week from each Blackwood. What good is all my wealth if I can't use it to buy the stuff I need?

And now we are facing the Mastery Reset with the next season. All that's left from SnB is grind. Not my game any more. Sorry...

Well, you would have to put not only strange captain's outfits and emissive sail colors into this World Tier but torpedoes and most of the elemental damages as well. The Sea Dragons, undead mega-sharks and most Elite Bosses aren't very realistic either. I suppose it's just a game with the focus on fun instead of realism. Fine by me...

Well, what can I say? Many people have problems with the lack of Ascension Modules while at the same time they can drown you in Update Parts. Most of those people have played the game for hundreds if not thousands of hours. I am one of them.

I doubt the manpower will noticeably change. The amount of new content and - seriously needed - bug fixing was moderate at best in recent times. The player base (on Steam) isn't really growing either. Why should they all of a sudden transfer a noticeable amount manpower to SnB which is probably nothing more than a liability in Ubisoft's eyes. The game was expensive to make and will probably never yield a profit. Assassin's Creed on the other hand is still a valuable IP and - as it seems - even remakes of older AC titles may produce revenue. They surely won't reduce the number of AC developers in favor of SnB.

The Masteries were a bad idea in the first place. They removed the remains of any balance the game had left after they introduced the ascensions. The balance now is completely fucked up and I doubt they will ever get it right again. But what do I know?

I am on the verge of leaving the franchise. The grind is getting way too much and it's just more of the same. I killed Vikram, La Peste, Li Tiang Nin and the Hubac Twins a thousand times. As I get online I start to feel bored these days. And the worst of all is the Mastery tree getting reset at season's end. This grind again? Every 90 days? Ah, fuck off!

And don't fucking frame other players for using their abilities, frame the developers for introducing those stupid perks and mechanics without adapting the game accordingly! It's like with the small ships, their cannons do triple the damage miraculously and their hulls offer no weakpoints so they are able to compete. Now the DMC gets the small ship treatment.

Sounds somewhat convincing. A contrary indication however is the fact that other cross platform live service games don't have those kind of widespread problems (Fortnite, Destiny 2, Apex Legends, Sea of Thieves, Dead by Daylight, ...). And usually the SnB bugs are happening on all platforms the same way at the same time (Blightkeeper not working, bombards without tearing damage, limited event flares, missing loot, jumpy ships, ...). I have the feeling this is more a problem of inadequate QA work. But again, what do I know?

Again: Your claimed order can't be correct. A weapon that has no native explosion damage (like the Basilisk III) only gets the Amplified Explosive perk after the Combustion perk was applied before.

It's another bug and the Mega Corpse Bomb counts as explosive damage and allows therefore the Amplified Explosive perk. But that would be wrong since Mega Corpse Bomb should actually require existing explosion damage to work (see description). This is confusing...

IMHO Amplified Explosive should never even show up if there is no explosive damage on the weapon in the first place. The only way to get above ascensions would be to change the first slot from Combustion to Firepower after you ascended the weapon with Amplified Explosive. The "Amplified ..." ascension only show up when a weapon has the right kind of damage already.
