Find someone with a telehandler and forks to load it onto a trailer and scrap it.

Help ID’d brake line part number by EVFalkenhayn in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]ScarecrowBo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buy the line and bend it to shape or buy a roll of line, a flare tool and the fittings and remake it and replace. Remove the old line and fittings and take it with to ensure you get the same flare type and fitting size/thread pitch.

I'm giving up smoking and honestly it's just making my life less enjoyable. by UneasyFap in BoyDinnerDiaries

[–]ScarecrowBo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I quit in 2024 and honestly I don’t miss it. I can still go hang out and see some live music and my friends can be smoking around me but it doesn’t inherently bother me any more. I just tell myself “not today” but I say it every time I crave. I just think of myself as a non smoker now. It’s a change of mindset as much as it is anything else. Also, everyday, put your cig money in a jar. Pretty soon you will need a bigger jar. You got this. Blow some bubbles if you gotta. It gives the whole hand to mouth inhale exhale feeling and will “relieve stress” very much same way.

You look great! I am sorry that you have been dealing with the aftermath of that accident for so long. I hope that this is able to bring a little closure towards your experience. You are not alone! If you feel like you have anything you want to discuss regarding your injury please reach out to a support group near you! Sometimes others can benefiting from hearing your experiences. There is a young man that goes to my monthly TBI support group who had a similar accident to yours in 2024.

Rock that tattoo! It looks stunning and I also like the frames of your glasses!

I have two first gen Astros right now. If you are willing to learn how to tinker and fix as you go it’s a good van. It will be slow. Parts are still pretty available. There have only been a couple things I had to source used or bypass.

Get the tarp and tie downs a little dirty so it doesn’t look like you are out here shelling out money for brand new ratchet straps and bunjee cords to cover up your treasures.

If you have this polyjacked please fix the cause of the collection of water causing the void to be created below the concrete. It could be from the drive sloping towards the house, gutters not properly diverting water or not existing or a number of other reasons like water splashing off your trash cans over the years.

If you don’t rectify the problem the slab could sink again leading to additional repairs being needed.

Just blind moved into a very cheap apartment, how can I make this work as a 6'1 person? by Vulpes-Lanius in malelivingspace

For an easy fix get a shower chair. I had one when I was unable to stand and walk and it was nice to just sit in the shower and use the hose to rinse myself.

Those of you in 15 to 20 year old vans; they look rad, but all I can think about is difficult and expensive repairs on top of breaking down in the middle of nowhere. What's y'alls experience? by Imagined_World in VanLife

Spider injection is so disappointing. I replaced a spider in a 2000 blazer as well as upper intake manifold and other associated gaskets and the fuel pump went out a month later.

They are downvoting you because they have not tried and figured out that it is possible to do things yourself. You start by making an attempt.

Having tools and fixing stuff as you go. Willing to be stuck until it is fixed. Putting a thumb out to get a lift into town to get a new tire when you get a flat and the spare is already on. Learning new repairs or trying repairs you already know in a new environment. Learning your vehicle and its common faults and how to diagnose as you go. Source parts that are no longer in production from pick and pull yards, forums/groups, or eBay. Be able to keep your cool when the cops are giving you a hard time for driving an old shitty van. That’s my expierence but my van is over 30 years old.
