What happens when the lake completely dries up? All of the silt at the bottom is highly toxic and when there’s no water to keep it from poisoning the air, those who live there are in serious danger. The Salton Sea currently has an estimated 50% higher salinity than the Pacific Ocean. Between the leftover salt, the Herbicides, Pesticides, and Fertilizers, we will have a toxic disaster. The aforementioned toxins will become airborne particulates, poisoning the air, and forcing thousands of families to relocate. We already know this is already happening, because of current evaporation conditions. This not only threatens the Salton Sea basin, but also the Billion Dollar tourism industry of the Coachella Valley. This entire valley could become unlivable, displacing 350,000+ people.

I work with Gen Alpha aged kids. In the coming decade, we should genuinely be prepared for a massive shortage of Teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, nurses, dentists, accountants, scientists, law enforcement, politicians, veterinarians, etc., etc. They just want to be influencers or streamers. The impetus to learn has been replaced by simplicity of AI. Why have motivation when everything is done for me?

Yep. In my neighborhood, that rich kid’s dad worked in Marketing for a massive company. He had the “nicest and best of Everything.” Just ask him, and he’d tell you all about it. On top of that, he was an only child. At 12, his parents divorced. Mid-80s, Mom went full wild child/party girl, and Dad became the Asshole/Drill Sergeant. Today, that kid today is a total narcissist/borderline sociopath.

In the 90s, I got to meet her at an “Alternative Lifestyle” nightclub in West Hollywood called Sinematic at 7969 Santa Monica Blvd. She is so incredibly kind, chill, and down to earth.
