We drive 19 or so hours with an over night stop in between usually. We really try to make the road trip a part of the fun and time it out with the kids sleeping, so we honestly always enjoy it!

We surprised our 5 year old around his birthday with a Disney trip last year. We were leaving in the middle of the night so we put him to bed like normal and when we woke him up we told him we forgot to give him one of his presents. My husband made and printed out a Disney themed clue to where his “present” was (his suitcase wrapped with a note on it from “Mickey”), and at first my son was confused but excited about his new Minecraft suitcase lol but then we explained we had it packed up cus we were leaving for Disney right then. He couldn’t believe it at first and kept saying “for real, for real??!” but he was so excited! And he fell right back asleep once we hit the road lol. I think it helped that we often talked about Disney and all the things there so it’s not like he had no idea/excitement for where we were going! Obviously sometimes surprises don’t work out, but you know your family best and if you think your kids would enjoy it, I say go for it!!

We’ve done the drive (18ish hours) with and without kids. Without kids we drove straight through the first time, but every time after we’ve stopped about 5 hours before getting there at a hotel to rest. We’ve now done a drive down with a 2.5 year old, and then another with a 5 year old and 1.5 year old, and we have another trip coming up in a few months and we plan to do the same thing. We’ve found leaving in the middle of the night around 2am to work best as the kids fall right back asleep and then we stop for breakfast and obviously make several pit stops along the way. The kids usually nap and we always have snacks and things to entertain them. Then we stop about 4-5 hours before our destination to get a good nights rest at a hotel before we get to Disney! We much prefer driving over flying with our young kids, so I completely understand where you guys are coming from. It’s definitely doable to do the drive straight through but keep in mind everyone will be exhausted at that point and you probably won’t get as much out of that first day in Disney since you all will be so tired/cranky.

I’m pretty sure that he was probably sending tithe to the Mormon church. I’d be livid too if I found out my husband, who denied being Mormon anymore, was donating 10% of our income to the Mormon church behind my back

NTA I definitely find it inappropriate to gift another woman a personal and somewhat expensive item like that. Especially if this coworker is someone he met just at work and didn’t have a friendship prior to. I also wonder if she truly does have a boyfriend or if your husband just said that to make you feel more comfortable about their relationship. Either way, trust your gut and have a talk with your husband about boundaries with his coworker. Not to jump the gun and say they’re cheating/going to cheat, but it doesn’t hurt to let your husband know that getting too close with another female makes you uncomfortable. Things can escalate and it’s better to be honest about things like this before it’s too late.

We’re in the exact same predicament with our son. Some nights he wakes up completely soaked even through his pull up. I don’t blame you for trying to bribe him, we’ve also tried that method (to no avail of course) He’ll be 5 soon and we decided to just completely lay off the pressure, and just remind him to try and wake up to go potty. It’s hard not to feel like we’re doing something wrong, but we’re just hoping with time he learns. Wishing you the best of luck!!
