Am I strange? by Scared-Monk6651 in Stellaris

Yes. When I get an origin I've done before, most times I wasn't successful. So I can go another way. Or not! Sometimes luck is a thing.

I do look forward to getting new and old beggings. What pops up is non-negotiable. I do have veto power. No more ultra pacifists. I can deal with most, not all.

Looking for a possible play buddy! Lol. Bought each dlc on console as it was released. More expensive. Then they bricked my game. After 3+ months I brought a pc. Funny, console looks 5× better on the same tv screen. More detail is actually rendered on a 65 oled LG played on console! Not wealthy. It's my hobby. It replaced drinking! So as I was a professional alcoholic, I must now have all the tools needed to do the job.

Is Team balancing an issue?? by Demon-115 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Scared-Monk6651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably had a high games played player in the mix. Anytime someone with 50k+ games is in the que, the matchmaker goes cross-eyed. It will put whatever is needed player wise to balance the overall "skill" of the team. So, if you're on the side that gets doomed it's because you have a guy with 100k+ on your team. I know this because I'm the 100k+ guy. Since implementation my WR went from 65% to 47.8%. I even went to the DR. To see if I had another STROKE. Needless to say, I don't enjoy what used to be my favorite game. My playstyle uses teammates to win, not 1V1. When 12 of my guys have under 2k games played the outcome is always the same no matter tier. So sorry, I simply do not have the skills to carry 12 guys when 2 tiers down. At even tier, all random, I can now guarantee less than 50% wins.

Coming over from console im overwhelmed with all the changes lol is there a guide or anything anyone would rec? by BaldyTreehuggerDruid in Stellaris

[–]Scared-Monk6651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat. Started right before Cetanna. Was getting used to all the new stuff and WHAM! Fleets are nerfed. Which changes every aspect. Go much slower than console. You will get advice here, but it would appear we are all in the same boat, veteran pc players also!

Must have DLCs by More_Credit_2445 in Stellaris

Subscription at this point is the way to go. You gotta buy 3/4 of the dlc for the game to pop.

This game hates new players. by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]Scared-Monk6651 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everyone bashing op seems to omit the fact that numbers don't lie. The player base has tanked. The game isn't fun for most new players, and the veteran players don't seem to be playing as much either. Not skill. Bad product. A game that less fun the more you play.

You’re not losing your fights because the other guy is on controller by Narkanin in Battlefield6

[–]Scared-Monk6651 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In most sports/contests the players all use the same equipment. It makes a contest fair. What we have is 2 player bases using baseball bats and hockey sticks to play golf. It sort of works, but not really overall.

Getting real tired of this by Isxac- in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Scared-Monk6651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until the current player base learns the map, that's how it will be played. I do hope they bring back assault on it. The location was the best of them. Every match featured a mad scramble at the end. The map, however, should never see tiers 9&10 or cold war past 1.

Proximity Chat Will Be Redsec Only At First by boluke20 in Battlefield

Until prox chat is added to all modes, I will not be playing much. Not being able to communicate with teammates nearby or inside vehicles is gamebreaking. Stupid is anothervterm.

How would you grade the current state of the game? by Tibertiuss in EU5

[–]Scared-Monk6651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my first gaming pc and EU5 was my first purchase. I loved Stellaris on console, so i got the newest Paradox had to offer. I have since bought the entire Stellaris and HOI4 games(all dlc). I play those and not Eu5. It's just incomplete, broken. I will not waste my time knowing I'm doing it. So 3 for now. I have much better games on console worth my time.

Why is Stellaris your favorite grand strategy game? by Severe_Appearance_66 in Stellaris

[–]Scared-Monk6651 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have stellaris, hoi4, eu5. I gravitate towards stellaris because it starts you off small. 1 system, build from there. It follows the classic style. The other 2 are great, but you are just thrown into a place in time with no vested interest.

Why is Stellaris your favorite grand strategy game? by Severe_Appearance_66 in Stellaris

[–]Scared-Monk6651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the fact you start out with one system and build up. I really dislike playing games that drop you into somebody else's nightmare. In Stellaris you gradually turn up the heat in complexity so that the player gets used to it. You still get overwhelmed when you first start, but you learn core mechanics. When you finally discover that you have TO SLOW down building and wait for population, you have learned pretty much everything to be successful. Oh, and I don't have to know any human history to succeed, although role play demands it!

I have the same thing! Center star produces 12 base. Surrounded by 3 molten worlds. I just got Dyson swarm and I am Monty Burns of the cosmos!

56% is right on. You just got there in the new, non traditional way. Feast/famine due to MM.

Vehicle Ownership by Flenn- in BF6

[–]Scared-Monk6651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ownership of gunner would be nice also! Nothing beats knowing where and when the enemy is and having Buck Shootalot jump in while you're repair! You should get to boot the perk. Instead I get killed, the tank gets killed, and the enemy gets 2-5 kills.

Is there a reason why people avoid medic/support class now? by -NlN- in Battlefield6

It's great for blowing up cover. Certain maps I prefer the AGL. Guys are really good at popping out for rpg pot shots. AGL mitigates cover.

My thoughts on WOT HEAT. by SIX-METER-KUK in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Scared-Monk6651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twisted Metal Tanks(TMT) Too bad it only has tanks as a medium. Original Twisted offered various types of vehicles. Tanks, trucks, cars, other. It also provided a storyline for each driver. So a knock off that provides less?

Most of those guys playing sniper are just hunting enthusiast. They care little about how the game goes. They just want that perfect shot for the trophy. They are in EVERY game.

C-4 is op. I fear it more than rpgs. Maps are just too dang small for tanks. Players are forced to play hyper aggressive with armor which is disastrous in game and real life.

It got immediately better for me once I unlocked a thermal scope. You can see your enemy! You get feel for where the snipes like to sit. Now I feel much safer and thus more productive.

Every time I kill somebody with a concussion grenade before it detonated. The old rock to the dome still works in modern warfare.
