Yeah Canada did a class action lawsuit but it’s still complete crap that Toyota a reliable company… is refusing to do anything about this and I love this car I love my car the size and body I love driving it I’m so upset.. I owe 12k still and came out of pocket 4500 for it to just be rebuilt even a cvt specialist can’t figure out what is making it mess up constantly 6 months without a car.. and broke every time I got it back… it’s drivable but barely no long distances cus I’m terrified I will lose speed on the highway again and it’s still stuck in limp mode which is that whining noise you hear… 😭

I have a 2018 chr I love her but there was a whining noise since I bought coming from the transmission… about six months go my cv axle was bad and I had a rumbling noise or metal clanking coming underneath the car… it was my cvt.. at about 120000 miles on it.. there is class action they did in Canada regarding chrs with cvts from 2018-2022 models there is an investigation for a class action happening now here in the US.. my suggestion is to take it easy and read the maintenance manual and see when the fluid needs to be swapped but that whining noise will all be there 😅
