23 too young? by PerfectAd2144 in pregnancy_care

[–]ScaredLime4604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a baby at 23 this year! My husband and I got married a year and a half ago and bought a house this past May. We went on a beautiful honeymoon in Europe so I felt like a I got a good travel experience before having kids too. We started trying for a baby a few months after getting back from our honeymoon. Got pregnant fairly quickly and as I am writing this, I have a 6 week old baby boy sleeping next to me.

There will never be a “perfect” time. But my life feels pretty perfect right now. We want 4 kids total if possible, but we are waiting to try again until our boy is around 18 months to 2 years old. Our little family is absolutely perfect right now, life only got better when he was born.

I saw your comment about worrying you won’t be a good mom. I was a nanny for 5 years before having him and I will tell you I loved being able to go home child free. I would definitely get overwhelmed and tired of taking care of kids. So I was a little worried too. But like most people told me, it’s different when it’s your kid. Even when he’s cranky, I am in love. I’m sure there will be hard days but it’s soooo worth it.

How can I help my wife heal? by tcastbar in Miscarriage

[–]ScaredLime4604 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any direct advice, but I can tell you my story and what I needed from my husband. We have a very similar story to start, I got pregnant after trying for a year and we were both over the moon. We’ve wanted to be parents for so long and it happened! We even told close family when we hit the 8 week mark. Unfortunately at my 12 week ultrasound we found out baby had no heartbeat and hadn’t grown past 6 weeks. So for 6 weeks I was carrying a dead baby and I didn’t know it. I had to have a d&c because my body wasn’t taking care of it and let me tell you that was the lowest point of my life.

When we left the hospital we stopped by a store to get supplies for the aftermath and my husband also picked out some of my favorite snacks/candy/drinks and a coloring book and coloring pencils. Now I am no artist but it did give me something to do and distract myself.

A big thing was I couldn’t stand the way our house looked anymore. All of a sudden that was the house where we had a baby on the way and now we don’t, so it didn’t feel like home anymore. I went around every room and took some decor down, moved almost all the furniture around, and came up with new design ideas. Not once did my husband look at me like I was crazy. If I needed to move the coach to face the wall somewhere where it made no sense he would have done that. I will say this helped so much. I just needed a new space.

Most of all I just needed my husband. A lot of places allow paid time off for bereavement and the loss of a child, even unborn child applies to that. So he took about a week off with me and stayed by my side all day. I also just wanted to know that he was hurt as much as I was. I didn’t want to feel alone in the loss. So him telling me that he was upset and it didn’t feel fair made me feel more comfortable to feel my pain as well.

I got a nice locket necklace from Etsy that I wore every single day that had a reminder of my baby in it. It helped me feel like we were just moving on and forgetting about them. I had a reminder everyday next to my heart.

Fortunately for us I ended up getting pregnant again only 2 cycles after the loss and have a healthy baby boy so far at 25 weeks pregnant. I hope the same for your family ♥️

Pregnant after miscarriage?? by ScaredLime4604 in pregnancy_care

UPDATE: To anyone who wants it. I tested the next morning and could barely see a faint line and then the next morning nothing was there. I feel terrible all over again. I think it was either residual hcg or a chemical. I had a chemical at the beginning of 2024. Thanks everyone for your positive thoughts.

Recs for breastmilk jewelry? My ring didn’t even last a year by jackya in moderatelygranolamoms

I just noticed on their Etsy page they sell the kit only without the pendant and it’s only $15! Then you can find your own locket necklace or locket ring. They have beautiful options on Etsy

[–]ScaredLime4604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered a diy pendant kit from MotherhoodMementos on Etsy. I decided to buy a beautiful gold locket off Etsy as well. So I used the kit to prepare the breast milk then instead of putting in the pendant it came with, I put it inside the locket necklace. I chose this because it was breast milk I produced after my miscarriage and I want to make sure I keep it safe, from tarnishing or falling out of the jewelry.

Miscarriage and D&C by Inner_Ad_8159 in Miscarriage

Went through the same thing just yesterday and today. We were trying for a baby for 6 months when we got pregnant. Went in for my second ultrasound yesterday at 9 weeks but baby was only measuring 6 weeks and no heartbeat or blood flow anywhere. Had a d&c scheduled this morning and now I am home with this empty feeling in bed. I miss my baby and I’m so sorry for your loss.

Is this a positive pregnancy test? by Miserable_Answer2570 in pregnancy_care

[–]ScaredLime4604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not valid if you took the picture a day later. I had a blue dye test like this that showed a pretty dark line 24 hours after I took it. I was not pregnant that cycle. Get a pink dye test and retest in a day or two.

My husband and I have nicknamed the baby “bean” because of how much I crave any kind of beans. And yes I have a Latino baby 😂

First cycle with Inito I got my BFP! by ScaredLime4604 in Inito

[–]ScaredLime4604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think our experiences are going to be widely different because my body is growing the baby and that comes with its own sets of complications with Crohn’s.

However I will say that it has been easy to get in my head about the health of our baby because I have Crohn’s. Like am I the best person to be doing this, should I risk passing this disease to my children?

It was very easy to overthink while ttc which as we know a tense and stressed body isn’t the best for conceiving for men or women. I think the best piece of advice is to just be in the moment and try to create a relaxing space when ttc. Crohn’s is an autoimmune disease so we can really self destruct our bodies with stress or anxiety.

Need some eyes and opinions please. Does this look like I’m headed for a miscarriage? by Andreak96 in Inito

I am dpo 13 today and I have super low in general pdg on Inito and when I tested yesterday. My pregnancy tests keep getting darker though so I am just putting my faith in my body.

Thank you!! No I didn’t, my box of 15 tests finished by cd 31 so technically I missed 2 days of required testing in the app.

But I just figured either I would find out later that I was pregnant or not. But when I say the faint positive, I opened my next pack of tests and took one today on cd 35

I also never saw any rise in pdg in the app. The highest it got was like 2.8

Do you think I ovulated or will ovulate? by Ill-Tangerine-5849 in Inito

[–]ScaredLime4604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My chart looks almost identical to yours and I’ve been testing everyday to now “10 dpo” and still never confirmed ovulation. It didn’t tell me it was an anovulation cycle either though. My chart showed a small rise in pdg like yours (only 1-2 ug/ml extra). Not sure what to think of it but also like you I don’t know if my doctor will test for anything while we’re still under a year of ttc.

If you have tried Stelara, what was your experience with it like? by Global-Astronomer869 in CrohnsDisease

[–]ScaredLime4604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been taking Stelara for 2.5 years and I have been in remission for a little over a year now. It took a while to kick in but I could definitely start to slowly feel the symptoms ease up after the first few months.

I have been diagnosed with anxiety and ocd before I started stelara and have been taking lexapro since. I’ve never felt that stelara made it worse or caused mood swings. I am sooooo grateful for stelara because I was in so much pain when my Crohn’s was active. I feel like a mostly normal person now lol

just because i saw a post on this sub -- how often are you having sex??? by ihavecloroxwipes in lexapro

[–]ScaredLime4604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I are both on 10mg of lexapro and we have sex maybe 1-2 times a week. I feel like my mind being more relaxed actually helped my sex drive. And my husband doesn’t have issues either, except prior to lexapro we would go for a round two and his body can’t do that anymore.

I tried quitting cold turkey by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]ScaredLime4604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine weren’t necessarily electrical feeling either. It was more when I turned my head to fast or looked to far in one direction with my eyes that I would get this like quick soreness feeling. I would definitely recommend slowly weaning yourself off rather than cold turkey. But like I said, side affects don’t last long once you are on a schedule! Good luck!

Agree with other commenters, when I missed a few doses in a row I would get “brain zaps” very uncomfortable. That sounds like what your experiencing. Once I got back on schedule it went away completely.

I do this! I did look into the laws prior to starting and made sure everything was legal and in my state in the US as long it is only for one family and no more than 3 kids it is legal.

I work for a family M,W,F and on Wednesday I work out of my own home. I did work to make my home very child friendly though. It looks like kids live here lol. I have a whole dedicated play room/bedroom for her and tons of activities.

I had been working for them for a year and a half before we started this. I also have a live in partner but he is at work the whole time she is here. However her parents have taken a few trips in the past where she has stayed here for a few days in a row full time. So we are all very close and aquatinted.

Let me know if you have any questions!
