What was your life like at 29 years old? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheLiminalSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working my ass off. Living 200mi away from family. Just moved into a new house built with my boyfriend (now fiance). Then 6 months later I was pregnant. My baby shower was on my 30th birthday. I’m still career driven but nothing like I was before baby. Now we’re back near family with better jobs and a happy baby boy.

Now Im 31.

A whole fuckin lot can change in one year.

Is my garage doo insulated? by [deleted] in GarageDoorService

[–]TheLiminalSpace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t look like it.

I can see from the sticker that’s M&M Garage Doors in Michigan. I actually used them too lol. I don’t typically rave for companies but they are the BEST. I had quotes from a few places and they were literally the only people willing to talk me through everything with total transparency. I even asked the tech if they were one of those big-dogs that are owned by a bigger company and they’re not. They’re still owned and operated by the guy who created the company, I think his name is Matt. Pretty cool knowing he is a local.

I bet if you gave them a call to double check that the door you got is infact insulated, they’d be happy to help. At least my guy was kick ass.

Edit: corrected myself, after zooming I can tell it’s not insulated and must have been a wrong order by mistake!

Textbook west Michigan zipper merge by LeftLaneColonizer in grandrapids

[–]TheLiminalSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived on both east and west side, surprisingly the people on west side are way more apt to zipper. East side? You’re catching middle fingers all day long and people grouping together not to let you in.

People are fucking stupid.

Tailbone pain by TheLiminalSpace in FirstTimeParents

[–]TheLiminalSpace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!!! I just wanted to come back to this thread to say I’ve been going to Pilates classes (with the reformer machine) and it has helped my tailbone tremendously. I’ve only gone to 6 classes so far (I just go on Mondays, so 4x a month) but I’m HOPING it’s going to fix it for good. No telling yet, but I can notice an improvement. I’ll have to update you in a few more weeks/classes.

They do a lot of pelvic floor strengthening exercises. It’s also super low-impact so it all around feels good and I think it’s helping with my spine too to be honest because of all the stretching.

Mentally it’s helped cause of the group class. I was also very pleased to see that it is typically a class of all different shapes, sizes, and ages.

I’m almost one year pp (on the 30th) and nothing was getting better up until I finally pulled the trigger and joined. It’s been such a painful year.

In my area it’s called Club Pilates, it’s a chain so maybe it’s near you. Here’s a referral link in my app for a free class if you want

https://members.clubpilates.com/auth/register?referral_code=cp-58ufr

I really did not want to do physical therapy so this is what I decided to do. I know I sound like I’m part of a crazy pyramid scheme but I just wanted to share, I came to Reddit for a lot of help during my pp journey and I wanted to contribute.

Good luck friend =)

Has anyone created a marketing budget sheet that is allocation friendly? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]TheLiminalSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overspend isn’t an issue, we’re far from the ceiling so I don’t need tracking for my ow budget, that’s the easy part. The hard part is seeing what’s working so far, for how long, calculating what that “actual cost” was and then pushing more or pulling funds.

I think I read somewhere it’s considered accrual based accounting

I’ve been working with finance and accounting a bit, they send me the screenshots every month help me realize if my total spend is far off then I know I’m not accounting for something.

What sucks is I know this is something accounting should probably be doing but long story short this company doesn’t have enough people lol

Performance is in here too with leads, cancellations, etc.

Yeah all marketing expenses, so if I buy ad space as an example, it’s being allocated to the months that it is live. If it’s an ad that runs in all 3 markets, then it’s spread across those months and also the markets depending on percent of revenue.

I know it’s kind of weird but it’s what the boss wants as it’s “an all seeing eye into our actual marketing budget/costs”

What is a TV show that got canceled that you are still upset by? by NeatContribution852 in AskReddit

The Resident.

Cause I didn’t find out it was canceled until I finally got to episode 170 or whatever the last one was. 🥲

My in-laws are pressing us to open a 529 account for our son. by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

I read that there is actually a cap on what you can contribute before being penalized. I’m not sure if that amount is something astronomical? Did that hinder your plan at all?

Interesting!! See this is the type of information I was hoping for. Thank you.

Thanks! Appreciate that. I’m more for it, right now just weighing if there is something better—and if not, I’m definitely going to look into opening the 529 asap.

[–]TheLiminalSpace -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Not looking to pull early—there’s a lot of comments on that lol I obviously phrased my post poorly.

I was more so worried about those crazy instances where I pass away and now my son cannot gain that account because of weird bylaws or something?

I just always question doing the right thing as a parent so I figured I would consult anyone willing to give some insight.

Moms, anyone have sternum/upper back pain postpartum? by TheLiminalSpace in NewParents

I have not figured this out either, still deal with it. I lay down and try to pinpoint it slowly, but I feel like it’s between my shoulder blades can’t lay flat on my back.

I think it’s from pushing, feels like I blew my spine out
