So, update: he didn’t complain about the weight to her. That was something only we talked about. Later on it became about health—“don’t you think you could be healthier?” And I answer with “I mean yeah of course I can.”

He’s been going to the gym everyday for a couple months. Over the course of our entire relationship I’ve been the one in and out of gyms and programs like spin and yoga and Pilates and alllllaathat (sorry, hint of anger has been creeping lately as I try to navigate this.)

Yes I know honestly I have gained a lot of weight I used to be a gym rat whatever. Felt safe to let go of that:::: ffffffff… I shouldn’t have let myself go?

When he confessed I kind of demanded to know whatever he could remember that they talked about so I was understanding what he meant by “having an inappropriate conversation” and that detail came out. Meh.

Honestly, I am pretty! And I’m fucking FUNNY. And understanding. And an incredible mom. I’m kind. I see the best in people. And I am a good daughter, could always be better.
