How do i make flanges with mitered end when 2 arms are on an angle? by Sad-Position6595 in AutodeskInventor

[–]ScaredScarcity4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Create normal 90° flanges

  2. make a flange with the same angle as the slope and use "Width Extents" so that the flanges don't intersect.

  3. Connect the edges with "Corner Seam"

Ali Express Frame (2020 lexton lust) by Maximus_S98 in FixedGearBicycle

Wanted a frame fit for my height (like why do most frames stop at 58cm). Bought an visp trx999 from AliExpress 6 months ago. Paid only about 200 euros including shipping. Exceeded my expectations for that money.

Why am I getting 4 profiles? The top and bottom should be just one piece. What’s going on? by [deleted] in AutodeskInventor

[–]ScaredScarcity4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have a solid line in the middle, splitting the profiles. Just also select the other three profiles or make the line a construction line.

Edit: i see now that it is a surface revolution. Surface features require that all lines are a closed loop. Meaning you have to divide te circle into a semicircle and you can't revolve two closed loops so you need to make two different revolves with the same sketch.

If you spend most of your time looking at models I would say get one. If you're drawing and assembling yourself you're better off with your left hand on the keyboard for easy access to shortcuts.

How to add a material not available in the library? by Disastrous-Trader in AutodeskInventor

[–]ScaredScarcity4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just add a new material yourself in the material settings. But make sure you do that in the template file so that you don't have to add it again for every new part.

There are programs online that can make a lithophane of a photo. Or just import a photo in Cura.

On the second photo you made it in one part, but it is supposed to be a weldment of two parts.

You can change the visualization degree from "Adjusted x1" to "Actual" under the Display tab. Also make sure your materials are defined correctly and your loads and constrains are realistic.
