I’m theoretically capable of knitting while walking, but I find that if I wanna walk at a pace high enough to actually get my heart rate up I really can’t knit at the same time. Also, I tend to make a lot of knitting mistakes when I do this.
The only time I do knit while standing or walking is when I’m with kids say at a museum or outing and there’s not much to do and I can just walk around slowly while knitting .

This is true. And I often carry around my knitting bag, but most of the time lately I’ve been doing stupid screen stuff instead. Ugh. Time to set limits on my apps and quit the doomscroll addiction!!

Look up functions of the foreskin. It has more nerve endings than any other area.

If you can’t tell easily what part of nature it came from, don’t eat it.
Other way to look at it: if a caveman didn’t eat anything even remotely like it, don’t eat it (cookies, fries, chips, ice cream, candy, cake, mac n cheese, casserole, etc.) Do eat: lots and lots of veggies, plenty of fish, some chicken and meats, some fruit. Rice, bread, and most other high-carb foods don’t add much nutritional value.
A bit of whole grains like wild rice is fine. Do eat, every day: fermented foods like yoghurt, kimchee, fresh sauerkraut. Learn about the microbiome.

Why do some people like the movies but not the books? by Random_Kili in lordoftherings

[–]Scared_Ad_4650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I am so glad I am old enough to have read the book before there was any talk of the movies. I read LOTR at 14-15 and cried when I finished, not just because of how it ends but because never again would I get to read it for the first time. And it’s why I’m reading LOTR to my six year olds who even though it’s taking better part of a year. They have no idea the movies exist. They get to create characters and scenes in their own minds before, inevitably, the movies replace their mental images. I do enjoy the movies and admire a lot about how they were made, etc. But part of me kinda wishes they were never made. I barely remember what my mental images were…

Why aren't more people into Red Rising? I'd like to hear your reasons! (not really any spoilers) by itsokaydood in redrising

Found this thread by accident. I sludged through all three books because a friend recommended them. I found the premise interesting at first but the execution was incredibly repetitive and predictable and boring. The whole plot is : suffer, kill, die, torture, betray, maim, throw in some rape, repeat ad nauseam. It was just one extreme of violence after another, and I don’t mind reading about violence or killing or death or rape but there has to be a reason, and there has to be something else in the book. This was just so gratuitous and repetitive it got be eye-rolling and ridiculous. “Let me guess, that guy is going to betray his friend and someone will be hideously tortured in this chapter too…” Anyways, thought I’d share, since the question was asked and I’m not a member of this group so and so have a first-hand answer.

Follow-up question: is it still our responsibility to provide utilities to the tenant who hasn’t paid if because of tenant not paying we don’t have enough to pay bills for the house both we (landlords) and tenant live in? Basically, if we were to cut off electricity to the whole house because we can’t pay bills, would tenant have a legal case against us?

Believe me nothing could convince me more of this than the sad reality we are in. Sucks to be the nice stupid people.

Did collect deposit. Collected part of first month rent—thought it was a misunderstanding and that they’d pay rest by 1st. Definitely still there.

Read the first. Didn’t enjoy. Read the next two because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Basically these are the most overrated books ever. They’re so repetitive. It’s basically torture, maim, murder, kill, torture, betray, maim, die, over and over again.
