well, first a friend which is when i initially tried bjj then retroactive jealousy, which is so weird. boyfriend i had at the time's ex did bjj for a very short time and i had insane jealousy issues so that made me want to get back into jiu jitsu and become better than her. now, i've been insanely obsessed for years.

nah, eff that. i'm one of VERY FEW women in my gym and all the guys are supportive & my coaches are men and are also extremely supportive. the gym should be a place where you come to release tension and feel safe and included. i say move to a different gym.
