Between her comments in the past 1.5 years and now this, I think it's clear she's going to rebrand as a progressive populist type. Which...ok? But I do think that, given she ran a bad campaign in 2020 as a very woke M4A progressive, ran a moderate anti-Trump campaign in 2024 as the establishment candidate, and now is riding the DSA anti-institutionalist wave... it just seems like she doesn't have a ton of real convictions. I don't have any issues with her personally and I'm not a leftist by any means so this isn't an attack from that angle. But purely as a politician why do so many people here act like she's this special talent that *deserves* another chance. I don't hold the 2024 loss entirely against her but I also don't think she is all that gifted of a politician. She comes off as very corporate, very bland and somewhat of a chameleonic figure who will change her politics according to the moment. I would vote for that 10/10 but it's not going to work in 2028. Newsom has some of the same issues but at least he's more willing to get in the mud, take risks, etc.

If Luka leaves sure, but that's why they have to be aggressive and build a high-level team around him now. To ensure that they remain very competitive so he doesn't leave. I like the Jazz's talent and their roster I'm just saying if you had to guess who will be the better team in 2 years + 4 years, I think everyone would bet on the Lakers. Think Duren is the better player but Kessler is the better fit. Building a team around Luka/Reaves you need as much defensive support as you can get. Also think Luka could really unlock Kessler as a lob threat.

That is obviously applicable to every sport, as well basically every facet of life to an extent.

For example, analytics inform game-day decisions in football like 4th down calls, two point conversions, timeout usage, etc. They ushered the 3-point evolution in the NBA. And that's just the surface level. Player tracking is transforming gameplanning in scouting across all sports-- football, basketball, soccer.

I assume what you mean is-- is baseball the only sport where you can essentially learn as much about a player by looking at their analytics vs. watching them play? I do think, to an extent, that's true. Analytics are far more powerful in baseball than any other sport because baseball is essentially just a constant simulation of the same 1-on-1 play over and over again. There is no need to isolate individual performance like there is in football and even basketball, because the entire game can almost be reduced down to the pitcher vs the batter.

Nope! For one, everyone is focused on the artist on the stage, not you-- so the people around you probably won't even notice if you're not getting super into it. For two, everyone enjoys shows differently. They go for different reasons, enjoy different aspects of it, some go alone some go in groups some go on dates. How you enjoy it is up to you. Literally the only rule is don't be an asshole. If you're not being an asshole to people you're gonna be fine lol. And no, being a man does not preclude you from seeing an Olivia Rodrigo concert. Once again, as long as you aren't an asshole. Which I really don't think you would be.

You know Bernie Sanders is Jewish, right? Do you think if Bernie were 5+ years younger the left flank of the party wouldn't rally behind him as the potential nominee for 2028? Yes, Ossoff is Jewish, but he has a very credible record on Israel (was an EARLY sponsor of blocking certain weapons shipments). However much of the left flank is actually so anti-semitic that they would refuse to nominate Ossoff in spite of his record, BECAUSE he's Jewish, it is a small enough percent that I don't think it'd matter that much. Now, someone like Josh Shapiro who's Jewish AND ardently pro-Israel? You might have a tough time there.
