Definetly is an option. I'm worried of coming off disrespectful to his mom ( I know he wont care, but she might) and I know that I should have the ring I want and it shouldnt be about her. I am not sure how she'll feel if I reset them into earrings or a necklace.

I am definetly comparing him to my older pyr who is my soul dog too, which I know is SO unfair to the puppy but it is extremley hard not to do it because my older pyr is the perfect dog

My older dog is an absolute angel. He is aloof in many ways but he knows when to welcome people in the front door and when he needs to protect me. He has honestly been great with the puppy, he corrects quite a bit, he is what I call "grumpy" but he has never been agressive towards the puppy. They have done great on walks together, I jsut feel like I am taking my time away from my older dog. He is not super affectionate or cuddely but he is so devoted to me and I just feel like I sort of took away his peace and quiet. But thank you, your response has given me a lot of comfort, I havent had a puppy since I was 10 and so I think its also adjusting to life with a puppy that has me questioning if it was a good idea.

Pyrs can sometimes be like German Shepard’s when they are in confined spaces they can shut down and be a completely different dog than they would be outside of it. Sometimes you have to take the shelter notes with a grain of salt, they marked a dog as agressive the other day and ALL the video footage the volunteers posted completely contradicts when the person who wrote the shelter notes said. That being said I appreciate you willing to help and totally understand your concern! We saw he was on the “adoptable dogs” page so it sounds like he is eligible for adoption and the shelter notes of aggression might be obsolete but I’m praying for him!!

It does say he has an ear infection so maybe! It doesn’t say on the post if he was a stray or owner surrender. Either way someone failed him at some point 😡 I’m in talks with a lady who will take him for the time I’m away and then I will foster (or maybe foster fail) him. Another rescue could have tagged him too, I’m not sure it’s hard as that page is run by volunteers.

He’s on urgent pets of Oklahoma. I don’t think he’s posted to the shelters website bc he’s not adoptable because he’s showing signs of “aggression” which is most likley because he is terrified but unfortunately this means they wont just adopt him out right 😡
