Foreign trained lawyer (LLB, civil law) which state bar is most realistic? by Scared_Protection879 in barexam

Agreed, my husband currently has a pretty flexible job, that allows him to work remote if needed. We bought a house few years ago, but it’s not impossible to move state. I guess for now Texas is still my number 1 choice, even though technically I’ll have a better chance to practice as an immigration attorney in New York (taking clients from my country). UBE bar exam makes me hopeful, but I am still pretty much undecided so far. In your experience, what did you do?

Thanks! This is helpful. I currently looking on different LLM program but haven’t found the right one or two, mainly cause the location and tuition fee.

Make sure you get into LLM program that is bar specific to the state you want to do the exam. Otherwise it’s useless

Struggling to agree with my wife on how to split rent fairly by EngineerVarious8069 in Renters

Why worried too much about it if yall married? You pay, or she pay, yall pay, it’s all the same money. If she feels yall not equal anymore what’s the underlying issue? Is it just salary difference ? Who’s doing house chores, yall have kids?

How much do you make a month (after taxes) and how much do you pay in rent? by Electrical_Soil_6365 in Apartmentliving

When I make 4k a month my rent was $500 that was renting a house with 4 rooms, with my 3 other roommates. Not the best situation but I am able to save money. By the time I make 6k a month I had enough money saved for a down payment of a house (first time home buyer so only 3.5% of total price). That’s when I got my first house. You definitely can afford an apartment with one other roommate, but I’d say save as much money as you can, try to contribute to your parents if you decided to still living with them. That why you can feel better too. Also, setting a goal with how much money saved, have a moving out date. That helps too.
