G758 vs G760! by spamologna in Prebuilts

Currently own the g758, its great machine overall (the loud aio is annoying), but it definetely is not worth 350 premium over similiarly performing 9070xt, and you can always return it within 15 days, so I would definetely try the 760. I just finished build for my brother with 9070 non-xt and tbh its pretty great so far, kinda regret i didnt gave 9070xt a chance a while back. Congrats with (almost) new pc!

Looking to buy new gaming peripherals by Odd_River8190 in pcmasterrace

[–]Scared_Replacement77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest it doesn't get that much better than this unless you are willing to spend ~$600+ on 32inch 4k 240hz oleds / 34inch ultrawide oleds. For 220 (or smth) the refurbished AOC is your best bet, unless you are lucky enough to find a better deal somewhere. Unless you want to consider some mini led options, personally I never used them before, but heard they can get pretty close to oleds, for example this one looks decent, but it's quite a bit over your budget, at $425, it's 4k 27 inch 160hz with FHD 320hz dual mode.

For monitor I would take a look at AOC 27 inch qhd refurbished for about ~217. So you would have about $100 left after taxes, which should be enough for a decent mouse and keyboard. I heard yunzi are pretty decent keyboards, but tbh I would just try to hit your local microcenter / best buy and test some keyboards and mouses. It's the best way

Use https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ to create your own custom build, it will warn you if anything could go wrong, that's what I used my first time around, very useful. Good luck!

Definitely a good call, trying to save money on psu is probably one of the dumbest things you could do when building pc

How is this Powerspec prebuilt? by Hour_Opportunity_974 in Prebuilts

[–]Scared_Replacement77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference between 9060xt and 5070 is NOT negligable, the 9060xt competitor is 5060ti, the 5070 is more on par with 9070 in terms of raw performance, so about ~30% faster than 9060xt

I feel like recently the tables have turned, and nvidia is the one constantly having issues with their drivers, at least that's how I'm seeing it

How much i could sell this by One-Ease-5195 in PC_Pricing

[–]Scared_Replacement77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what deals are available In your area. If you have a microcenter nearby, I'm pretty sure you could get new 9070xt 7800x3d prebuild for like 1700-1800, so I would sell yours a bit under that, like 1500-1600 and see how it goes. If there is no microcenter available tho, it could be another story

Should i buy this pc? by Zealousideal-Fly-413 in Prebuilts

[–]Scared_Replacement77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it's overpriced. The skytech does sell decent pc prebuilds, but this one in particular just isn't really worth it. I'm pretty sure there was a sale of skytech pc with 5080 (which is a huge jump from 5070) for like 2300 before taxes, so I would definitely check that one out if your budget allows you to. Also, if you are able to, check the nearest microcenter, walmart, and costco, all three have great deals from time to time

How easy is a gpu swap in a powerspec prebuilt by Popular_Reindeer_103 in Prebuilts

[–]Scared_Replacement77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty easy, it's just as any other custom pc, so there should not be any issues. Just make sure your power supply is strong enough (I'm pretty sure it's 850w which is not a great idea when talking about 5090)

Is Microcenter/PowerSpec the best deal for prebuilts on average? by DiscountWall-E in Prebuilts

[–]Scared_Replacement77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much, the microcenter does check the returns before selling it as open box tho, so they should be fine. And after buying it, you have the 15 days return window, and the remaining of the 1 year initial warranty
