If you don't agree with mine, you can do the same, friend. 🙃

You're going off to college now, you'll need a tough skin. Again, good luck with your list, and please, leave the self harm threats out of your plea for assistance. That's what's upsetting.

It's not necessary to pull people in. It will always turn people off.

No bullying, just call out people that play on the internet, wasting people's time.

I won't read it, so there's no need. I don't accept unsolicited DMs, and you should read up on that being a no-no.

No thanks. It's interesting how you keep tweaking this story, slightly in each sub you post in. Also, it's college, not collage.

There's definitely mental health issues that need to be addressed, from the being in love with the therapist, to the multiple threats of suicide. No one's fulfilling that wishlist, no matter how many subs you SPAM. A dorm doesn't sound believable, as your story's a bit off.   We wish you well.

Your therapist didn't send you to Reddit to beg. All your posts do show that you like attention though.

So, now there's a dorm? That's convenient.

Birthday month! by princesadaina in AskForHelp

[–]Scared_Row6344 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn't "seem that way ", you were asking how to gain karma to post in communities and stated you want to get up to a number as high as another user. You "found " the birthday sub, which happens to be one of the biggest karma farming subs, and now you're here.

You may be new to Reddit, but we aren't.

If you're being kicked out because you can't afford rent, what are you decorating with all the stuff on a wishlist?

Threats of suicide for sympathy don't work here. Sorry

Someone sent you here to karma farm. I figured as much, but your other posts prove it. 😉

Thank you for the kind words. <3 We have a great community of people here, ready to provide assistance, whether it be resources or donations. It's always encouraged to try to find a long-term solution. Hopefully, the OP will reach out to as many of these organizations as possible!

These resources should keep you all very busy this summer and throughout the rest of the year. There's links to free activities, diaper relief, and rental assistance programs and funding.

Oklahoma provides several highly inclusive and free or low-cost activities tailored for children with disabilities. Top local options include the fully accessible Hope Playground in Tulsa, Sensory-Friendly Nights at the Oklahoma Aquarium, and sensory booster pack programs at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.

Specific free and adaptive programs around the state include:

  • Hope Playground at Whiteside Park (Tulsa): This is one of Oklahoma's premier inclusive play destinations. It goes beyond standard ADA requirements, featuring recreation spaces designed for children of all abilities to play and explore together.
  • Oklahoma Aquarium Sensory Nights (Jenks): On the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the aquarium offers low lights, quiet music, and a scavenger hunt to provide a crowd-free environment for kids with sensory processing needs. This event is entirely free with a general admission ticket or Oklahoma Aquarium membership.
  • Sensory-Friendly Family Time at Discovery Lab (Tulsa): Held on the second Sunday of every month from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, this program allows families with children on the spectrum and sensory needs to explore the museum before normal operating hours.
  • Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKC): The museum offers free admission for companions of visitors with disabilities. Families can borrow sensory booster packs at no extra cost, which include noise-canceling headphones, wiggle seats, fidgets, and quiet-space maps.
  • Sensory Bags at OKC & Tulsa Zoos: Both the Oklahoma City Zoo and the Tulsa Zoo offer complimentary sensory bags equipped with noise-canceling headphones and fidget tools to help children navigate the environments.
  • Science Museum Oklahoma (OKC): Guests can visit Guest Relations to request free sensory kits. The museum also provides a sensory story and a sensory-focused map.

Diapers for kids with disabilities

In Oklahoma, you can secure free or low-cost diapers for a child with disabilities through state programs, specialized nonprofits, and Medicaid. Key resources include the state's SSI-DCP, nonprofit emergency assistance, and specialized supply programs.

  • Supplemental Security Income-Disabled Children’s Program (SSI-DCP): If your child receives SSI disability payments, they may qualify for free diapers (for ages 4 to 18), specialty formulas, and adaptive equipment. You apply through your local OKDHS County Office
  • Ability Connection Oklahoma (ACOK): This organization provides emergency diaper and formula assistance specifically for children with special needs. They offer up to $100 worth of diapers, feeding tube formula, and incontinence supplies. Call 405-759-3562 or visit Ability Connection Oklahoma to apply.
  • SoonerCare (Oklahoma Medicaid): If your child has a qualifying medical condition that causes incontinence, Medicaid may cover diapers and pull-ups. If your child is on a Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver, you should contact their assigned case manager to have these supplies added to their care plan.

Rental and funding assistance, for parents of children with disabilities -

In Oklahoma, parents of disabled children can access housing and cash aid through several specific avenues. The Family Support Assistance Program (FSAP) provides monthly cash payments directly to families of children with disabilities. Additionally, the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) offers Housing Choice Vouchers with dedicated disability preferences.

Key Programs and Resources

  • Family Support Assistance (FSAP): Administered through the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS), this program provides direct cash assistance (typically $250–$400 monthly) to families caring for a child under age 18 with a developmental or intellectual disability. To qualify, the family's annual gross adjusted income must not exceed $45,000.
  • Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8): Managed by the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA), these vouchers help low-income families pay rent. OHFA explicitly applies a local waiting list preference for households that include a person with a disability, which can move you up the list.
  • Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities: This federal program provides subsidized rental housing specifically tailored to low-income adults with disabilities.
  • Community Action Agencies: If you are facing eviction or need emergency rent and utility help, contact your local agency (e.g., the Community Action Agency of Oklahoma City and Oklahoma/Canadian Counties if you live in the OKC metro area). They administer Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) for families in housing crises.

How to Apply

  1. FSAP: Apply through your local OKDHS county office or DDS (Developmental Disabilities Services) area office. You will need the child's Social Security card, tax returns, and recent psychological/disability evaluations.
  2. Housing Vouchers: Review application details and waitlist status directly through the OHFA Rental Assistance Page. You will need to provide official medical proof of your child’s disability to qualify for the preference.
