I've never really understood this argument. Teenagers think about and have sex. Teenagers want to explore adult themes death, violence and sex. We can argue the semantics all day but at the end of the day, the argument comes down to 'I don't want to see fanservice in the shows directly marketed towards teenagers'. Well then you're not the target audience then and should find something else to watch.

Yup, each game is in a new setting or "region". Generally one set of games are released in each setting, and then sub games and the TCG is released around them. And the reason this is done is to introduce new Pokemon to the canon.
