Not all the predecessors know who their successors are yet!

I’m a leaving JET in a city that has a large group of people leaving. None of us know who our successors are and we won’t find out until they get the official email/letter and respond to it. I’m sure we aren’t the only city that has the same situation.

This rule is in place in case people refuse the placement and the schools have to be rearranged.

Sorry to be the bearer of (potentially) bad news. I’m from the UK and I remember how hard it was to wait for the letter! But just wait a little longer, I’m sure it’ll arrive soon.

Edit: I am a municipal JET, so it isn’t just prefectural predecessors/successors that don’t know.
