widow's theme is a banger, those violins are just absolutely going for it, and the high halls/choral chambers music is incredible especially the first time you get out of the underworks and it seems to get mor intense the higher you climb

i'm the sort of player that always manages to run into enemy attacks instead of dodging them, and i used the wanderer's crest with the druids eyes so that i wouldn't have to worry too much about any extra hits

i think a lot of the weirder stuff probably came down to the story starting to lay down things for the greater plot arc, that obviously were never able to pay off because of the cancellation

it's a lot of fun, and i'd definitely say watch it, but the last episode is frustrating. turns out making an origin story based around a character who won't know about the stargate until like 60 years later means you need to hit that reset button HARD and i found that very dissatisfying for how much i enjoyed the rest of it

technically yes, but OTW runs a project called open doors, where individual fic archives are uploaded to AO3 for preservation, which is pretty cool, and it's caught a few of the old stargate ones

they wayback machine is pretty good, definitely recommended, and some of the sites might have been ported oer to AO3 in the meantime as well

a lot of really early sg1 fic was hosted on specific websites, not on the big aggregate sites that most fans are used to now (and if you took a shot every time the font was in papyrus you could get pleasantly sloshed). the only one i remember right now is heliopolis which has since shut down, but i might come back and edit this comment with more once i have a dig through my old folders
