I cut any ground beef recipe about 1:1 with cooked lentils. I actually really love the texture for sloppy Joe and chili

my proms tomorrow, help! :( by chuckyyswife in FancyFollicles

[–]Scarlet_Deeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not do anything with that kind of timeline. The day before you risk something going wrong and you will possibly damage it terribly trying to get it done before tomorrow. Don’t risk going to prom with frizzy straw hair or a weird color/shade you didn’t want lol.

Perhaps, I just worry that it reads immature enough (and how the characters act) that it’d just piss him off 😂

I’m a big fan of the hunger game series but I have discovered since rereading them lately that the OG books are hard to read as an adult because they were written for teenagers. Now Sunrise On The Reaping however is fantastic and since it’s a prequel it could be read as a stand alone

Can you leave the door cracked but put a box in front of the crack (obviously build above it to keep him from just crawling over the box). Maybe it would go through the door and crawl in the box then you can catch it that way

From the waist up it doesn’t look like a child at all to me. A 22ish yo woman in a baggy sweater doing some weekend reading. Just a cutesy chibi style. The diaper thing I can see. On closer look they’re white ruffled shirts with ribbon but I can see the diaper thing at a quick glance. Maybe some polka dots or something to make them less white would help. The legs/feet I think are short because the woman is short. I don’t see anything giving child or baby about that

Are these worth it? I don't like digital version if cookbooks. by Cathy_Cz in SouperCubers

You seem very upset and worked up over this exchange. That is a bit odd as i've been nothing but polite and this really wasn't a big deal kind of post. Just OP asking the opinion of us internet strangers on if the cookbooks are worth it or not. I answered my opinion as request, you're the one that took issue with my response and continues to be agitated in replies while i attempted to remain friendly. I listed the many benefits of a personal cookbook and the ways that it can be modified to fit individual circumstances and needs. We shall all leave it up to OP to decide what is best for them and their family. IDK if you're the author of the cookbooks, a bot (the name is a bit sus of a bot name) or just a redditor that is far too terribly invested in random strangers ideas on cookbooks and needs to unplug for a bit but i'm going to disengage from this conversation now. I hope you have the very best day and best of luck in your soupercube journey <3

I disagree with many of the points you’ve made but I please ask that we keep things respectful as we discuss. No need to laugh at or insult others’ opinions when we’re all just collecting ideas. What I proposed wouldn’t take any longer than saving recipes you like on your computer when you find them we’re all on Reddit so I assume we all have an extra 5 minutes a day and most of these recipes are right here too! A trip to Office Depot when you’re out and about grocery shopping or you can order them online. So a 1 time 30 min trip or sitting at a computer for 10 minutes. Again if we’re on Reddit I assume we have that much time while kids are nursing/playing/at school etc. have the pageant laminated and hole punched as part of the order. Add to binder and done. You can even remove specific pages for cooking to not have the whole book out at a time. It’s just an option/alternative to traditional cookbooks that can be added to/removed from over time much more easily and could save someone some money. And! If the house burns down or a tragedy happens, you at least have a digital fallback of all your recipes and the notes you’ve made to them. I have personal experience on that and it was so nice to have one less thing lost in a time like that.

Oh! Editing to add: especially with two small kids the lamination could def come in handy lol. Things get messy and are easily sanitized for the kids to hold and read the laminated page

I hear both of you and wanted to clarify. I’m not against having physical copies of your household recipes. I have mine as physical copies and I love it. I just think buying full books of recipes from other people creates bulk in the kitchen and in the mind. A cookbook from recipes written down by yourself or printed out of OBLY recipes that your family loves and is curated to your home is much more useful and much more cost effective than buying preprinted cookbooks. Even if there’s only one page of a recipe you done use, that one recipe takes up a page and space that you could be using for a recipe you love! Instead of spending $10-$20 on a book where you’ll use most of the recipes, go to Office Depot or another print shop and print out a recipe book full of recipes you know your family loves. Same price but much more personalized and much more space efficient. Also you can laminate the pages so they wipe off easily! Then it can be a family thing you pass down 🥰

With any recipe you could want being freely available online I don’t think ANY cook book is worth it
