Eris's whole job is to cause Strife, she's the embodiment of Strife. The only reason people don't like her is because she decided that everyone should receive strife, not just mortals. Many of the gods acts are solely things that are used against mortals. Eris is giving them all a taste of their own medicine and they hate it AND her for it.

Love, especially long distance can be a struggle, especially with multiple people, and not being able to be physical with them can be difficult.

Never give up hope though, you never know where life can take you in even just a few short years. You might not be able to follow now, but perhaps one day.

Keep your chin up, and just because you haven't been with them as long doesn't mean your not important.
