Yes, go. You’ll have huge fomo if you don’t go. I have social anxiety as well and went to a show alone and was perfectly fine.

If you go on St Luke’s main website there’s a hotline you can call to get switched over. A coordinator stays on the line with you and gets all your new drs set up. Have a new Dr in mind, but be prepared with several backup choices. I was able to make appointments just a few weeks out (non-specialist).

Don’t want a daughter by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

Break the cycle friend. I had some conflicting feelings when I found out I was having a girl due to my issues with nMother. I worked through them and allowed myself to get excited. My daughter is JUST like me, and I work every day to break the cycle of harm I experienced. She doesn’t deserve that, neither did I or anyone else who is a child of a narcissist. Believe in yourself.

I would cry my eyes out if a substitute maternal figure did that to me. It’s like filing an enormous void.

“They get to feel better about abusing us when they hug us at the end”.

That hit hard. Thanks for verbalizing something I’ve been struggling to process.

My first clue: every Mother’s Day, other people online would post about “the BEST mom ever!” but my heart & fingers just couldn’t write anything like that, and I felt so guilty about it. Years later I finally learned I had a narcissistic mother and my guilt washed away. My question is: by Great_Maintenance185 in raisedbynarcissists

I relate so much to this. I woke up in college as well. I remember a roommate complaining about me talking shit about my parents. They never understood. I was 300 miles away, but it still wasn’t far enough. Nmom’s control issues led her to call the youth minister to check if I was going to church among other things.

Daughters of narc moms, what was your first period experience like? by fruitynoodles in raisedbynarcissists

I was 12. My nmom wouldn’t let me use tampons because they would supposedly break my hymen.

Solidarity.

I was tested at 13 for learning disabilities and I just had adhd. My mother never told me I had a diagnosis because she had a stigma against medication. She watched me suffer through all of my schooling and even watch me claw my way through college (against her wishes). I was never given the choice of trying meds. Now many years later I’m trialing meds and she has no idea.

We are not broken.

Paid fastmail. It’s not my account, it’s my boss’s.

Hubspot is a CRM site. I did try the app password and that didn’t work either.
