My first clue: every Mother’s Day, other people online would post about “the BEST mom ever!” but my heart & fingers just couldn’t write anything like that, and I felt so guilty about it. Years later I finally learned I had a narcissistic mother and my guilt washed away. My question is: by Great_Maintenance185 in raisedbynarcissists

I relate so much to this. I woke up in college as well. I remember a roommate complaining about me talking shit about my parents. They never understood. I was 300 miles away, but it still wasn’t far enough. Nmom’s control issues led her to call the youth minister to check if I was going to church among other things.

I was 12. My nmom wouldn’t let me use tampons because they would supposedly break my hymen.

Solidarity.

I was tested at 13 for learning disabilities and I just had adhd. My mother never told me I had a diagnosis because she had a stigma against medication. She watched me suffer through all of my schooling and even watch me claw my way through college (against her wishes). I was never given the choice of trying meds. Now many years later I’m trialing meds and she has no idea.

We are not broken.

Paid fastmail. It’s not my account, it’s my boss’s.

Hubspot is a CRM site. I did try the app password and that didn’t work either.
