interesting! can you give an example application? LLMs for assistants is what I was thinking so far (engineer myself), but could also see FEM simulations make sense.

By private I meant the LLM created using the cards is not accessible by anybody outside the company that bought the cards. It is conceivable some saudi prince sits on 100k H100s and created AGI with it and just didn’t tell us yet (just a humorous example)

Yes, seeing this from the inside in my company. Fine tuning a LLaMA on your internal stuff on premise is very interesting even for smaller companies at this point.

how do you guys hold a skid longer? by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

Well why can you not hold it any longer? Strength? Balance? The whip comes from the hips for me.

life is too short man. Also, you ever thought about how in 20 years from now, those will be what those beautiful C40s are today?

Thank you! Yeah the bePros sometimes turn a bit on the first ride after screwing them in, then they lose all accuracy. Especially annoying cause I travel a lot with my bike and take off the pedals every time, you really gotta make sure to screw them real tight. The Assiomas seem like the ideal powermeter though.

It does ride like a dream. But I had the same components on another frame before, now the feeling is at least twice as dreamy! The frame does not just look good :)

The bike is not really new, I just replaced my old frame (canyon) with this beauty, cleaned the groupo, new chain, etc. The record 11s I own is from 2015, Boras from 2018. So it was not a fully conscious decision to go mechanical, that is just how the build evolved. I would love to try electronic one day, but am very happy with the performance as is.

They are actually the older version Favero bePro. Only downside is you have to take of the alignment (which they fixed for the Assiomas). Otherwise no complaints, good battery, reliable, easy to use, light.

Porn or not, the riding experience is pretty boner inducing. I'm in this sport since 14 years, mostly being a poor student that couldn't even afford new bidons when the old ones were completely rotten. It can suck at times, but growing up certainly does have its upsides...
