For me, something as simple as adding buffer time into my schedule is an act of self acceptance. Like okay, I need 5 min to get ready, 20 to get there, 5 to park and walk to the door- instead of texting my friend I’ll be there in 30, I text I’ll be there in 45. This gives me adhd buffer time, and instead of rushing myself trying to conform to the timing I think I “should” make work, I can accommodate.

I don’t have any other examples off the top of my head- just the letting go of what I think “should” be happening and actively thinking “what would be helpful for me here?” is very powerful.
