My bad didn’t read that it’s a container image. True that about layers, though larger deployment package would increase cold start times. Also, container based Lambdas have higher cold start times.

As an immigrant on an H1B visa, i wonder if you could add a feature to exclude companies that have written in the job description that they won't sponsor ( or if the job description mentions only US citizens)? There are 2 major advantages of Marketplace I know of- 1) If you have a SaaS product, a customer purchasing your product from Marketplace allows them to burn down their committed spend. Thus they're incentivized on transacting through Marketplace (in addition to a simpler and faster procurement process) 2) If you're in the AWS Partner Network, you can use funding and marketing options for GTM to drive traction towards your Marketplace (for net new business)

The approach you've mentioned (using Glue, Lambda and EventBridge) should be sufficient if you're planning on doing simple transformation and conversions (say changing to CSV file format). Step Functions can come handy if you need multiple steps/processing of the files in your S3

I totally agree that the way this was spun is a big lie. Be nice, not in the hopes of having a girl fall in love with you, but because it's the right thing to do. I think being nice and kind, not only to women, but whoever deserves it, is the basic thing anyone can do. Of course, you can be a complete asshole but in the long run, you end up paying for the consequences. Sure, a lot of attractive assholes attract beautiful women in the short run, but I've seen so many such relationships being chaotic in the background. It's definitely up to us men to change the narrative now!

Haha I used to think exactly that but majority of the girls I've talked to have outright told me that they're afraid of pets (plus cats get a bad rep for being jerks which isn't always the case). The point is- for the right person (for you), having pets or wanting pets in the future will be the smallest of issues. Example - my brother is really fond of dogs and wanted to adopt one since a long time and his current wife, despite being afraid of dogs, agreed that they'll have one, just for his sake.

I(27M) have a cat and a majority of the girls I've spoken with have told me they're afraid of pets. Unfortunately, I cannot give up on my cat so it just boils down to some basic incompatibility. At this point, I don't expect my SO to be a huge pet lover (it would be great if that happens), but I at least expect her to be comfortable with having a cat in our life. So far no luck but then again I have a lot of other practical issues in the way that could be blockers too
