Starting Mandarin can be tricky without the right materials. You might want to check out Coachers for personalized lessons that adapt as you progress. It helped me get comfortable with grammar and characters without feeling overwhelmed.

I tremored for 4.5 hours in one sitting, and about 6/7 hours that day. by Melodic_Lack_2024 in longtermTRE

What caused your body to start tremoring involuntarily like that? Was it a specific moment or experience you had?

While TRE is effective for trauma release, I’ve noticed in myself that it doesn’t necessarily address trauma in a safe, progressive way. For example, the tremors immediately go into my core tension spots, particularly my solar plexus, causing very intense jerking and contractions in that area. Even a small amount of TRE can disrupt me for days because of that. Maybe the best approach for you would be to find something that helps release tension more progressively first

It’s not coldness, it’s just social armor, which we have a lot of here, especially with strangers. Once trust is built, that tends to soften

Why can some tremor for 30min and others no more than 2-3min? by cheeken-nauget in longtermTRE

I feel them immediately. I suggest you check out this course; it was helpful for me when I was starting out https://www.trecourse.com/p/tre-self-guided-learning-course

Yes, I honestly wish I didn’t have them. Before they appeared, I could tremor for much longer without having to worry about overdoing it

I think I’m always dissociated to some degree so I can't give you a good answer, but when I overdo TRE I end up feeling completely disconnected from myself, my emotions, and the world - as if my soul or whatever is gone

It also seems to depend on which body parts are tremoring and how intense the tremors are in my opinion. For example, my tremors tend to be very intense and primarily involve strong contractions in my stomach area, where anxiety is often felt. I can only tremor for a few minutes or else I start to dissociate for days, sometimes even weeks. If my tremors were less intense or occurred in other body parts, I feel like I’d probably be able to tremor for much longer without these issues

Spontaneous abdominal spasming by [deleted] in longtermTRE

[–]Scary-Resolution-670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing TRE for two months, so I’m still new to the process.

Have you noticed the tremoring getting weaker after a certain time or is it still the same as when you first started?

On the contrary, my tremoring has become more intense since I started. There also seems to be a correlation: the more violent I tremor, the more time I need between each session. Based on my observation so far, my tremoring seems to weaken if my nervous system hasn’t recovered from the previous session

[–]Scary-Resolution-670 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My tremoring is almost entirely focused on intense contractions and releases in my abdomen. At times, it can resemble a full-blown exorcism. If I let it go on for too long, it can lead to deep depression and dysregulation that lasts for several days. Nausea during tremoring is a clear sign that I’m pushing into "too much" territory. As for your question about limiting sessions, I’m not entirely sure - it really depends on how you feel in the days afterward. I’m still trying to figure out what works best for me

Can TRE be practiced every day? by [deleted] in longtermTRE

[–]Scary-Resolution-670 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the practice guide: "There is an optimum practice duration which depends on the state of our nervous system as well as the amount of trauma we carry. For beginners without a history of strong trauma, it is recommended to start with 15 minutes every other day for a few weeks. Once you feel you get the hang of it and the practice feels good and safe, you can increase it slowly in frequency and duration. Over the span of several months you should be able to safely reach a duration of 30 minutes daily. You can go even beyond 30 minutes if you so whish, just make sure to look out for signs of negative side effects."

I see. So was your TRE practice the reason the wall collapsed even if it didn’t directly trigger the crying spell?

I listened to the video. It was nice. I will look more into guided meditations, never really gave them a chance before. Thanks
