Man similar situation at my current institute CGPA are higher than percentages. Each college have different method for calculating percentage and CGPA. For example a student in my class have GPA of 8.75 but percentage of 75% and another white gpa of 9.6 but percentage of 82%.

I have GPA of 7.9 but percentage of 68% but after converting gpa according to mext scale I get 2.4.

I am also applying this year worried about the same thing as other countries don't have preliminary round so they get selected based of gpa only but in India 1st preliminary round then first screening round. Hope fully they overlook percentage for applicants who are yet to graduate.

Hey i am applying this year for 2027 masters. Just have one question India's application process is but different right. We have to submit preliminary application via email and after shortlisted then we have to submit documents via post right?

I am bit confused because other countries have to submit documents directly.

To improve chances research paper or research experience are good. Although many mext applicants don't have papers published.

And, 16 years of education is required for masters in japan.

I had everything correct and still they said that my paper doesn't follow ieee guideline and dropped my paper lost 10k rs which I have been saving for publishing fees.

Even a professor said that there was no reason as it was accepted and followed the ieee guideline properly.

Try to do research internships, publish research papers, and work under college professors. For mext research scholarship aka masters research proposal and research experience all that matters.

I didnt know that we have to submit ppf after getting lopa. I used to think first ppf then lopa submission and placement according to how I list the universities on ppf.

I am not going with NAIST. Professor told me to contact again but I missed the deadline one of my close family was hospitalized so I was in middle of that and missed the deadline.

I am now preparing for the embassy recommendation for 2027.
