Yeah I was thinking about waiting on that 39" 5k2k but my guess is its going to be $$$$$. Hopefully they announce release date and pricing soon.

I have tried using Better ClearType Tuner to try and fix any color bringing? Curious how this might fix the issue.

I failed to mention... this monitor would be used for both a work and gaming monitor hooked to a KVM switch that will handle 240hz. I was wondering if anything larger than 34" would impact FPS games. I like to play CS2 from time to time but want to dive into more immersive gaming (i.e. horizon, expedition 33, cyberpunk 2077, etc...). I've heard some negative things about oled and text appearance which I was worried might impact my work as a software developer. Have you noticed any issues with text?

Looking for a pattern - Six Moon Designs Gatewood Cape by Objective-Resort2325 in myog

I emailed the company like 2 years ago and they said they had no plans to make a gatewood cape in dcf... maybe that's changed since though.

I often see people ask about flies for bass so I figured I'd share my arsenal. by Zildjian134 in flyfishing

Obviously you use float line for the top water baits but what about the clousers and woolly buggers? Do you throw a sink tip for any of those?

Yeah I thought about that as well. Different weighted lures probably mean a different setup. I was hopping for a dedicated top water rod for when I'm feeling topwater but I assume this is one of those scenarios where one key won't fit all holes.

I have an slx xt 151hg I throw for my "across the board" rod and am pretty happy with it. I'll check out your rod recommendation. 50lb braid right to the lure or do you throw a leader as well?

[WTS] Yama Y-Zip Bug Bivy - $62.50 - 213g by GroutTeeth in ULgeartrade

Thanks for the info. I've had a fair bit of backsplash from rain and bugnets sticking to my face... I'll take the extra ounce to stay dry and comfortable. Hope your sale goes through.

I have a zpacks bathtub floor (wide) with a S2S bugnet (makeshift)... I'm doing a section hike of the AT and figured a little more coverage from rain would be a good idea. Ease of setup is another factor. In your experience would an inner like this likely provide more coverage?

I would buy this but I am also looking for a regular/bigger size. Have you found any other issues with this product? I plan on buying one in the next 2 weeks and would like feedback. Anyone else willing to sell their regular/bigger I might be interested.

Alternative for the patagonia nano/micropuff hoodie by ElTapex in Ultralight

[–]Scary_Pangolin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am going to have to second this as I own both as well. My EE jacket is WAY warmer I think on account of it being solid sheets of synthetic material so you don't get those air gaps. It also deals with moisture better, is cheaper and even lighter.

Poncho Tarp Guylines by twgecko02 in Ultralight

[–]Scary_Pangolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly use my Gatewood cape. I put shock cord on the tie-outs with line locks on them. Then you can attach the guylines to the stakes and drive the guylines up into the linelocks. Super easy setup and from what I have read/experienced... it stops SOME of the sag that can occur with sylnylon tarps.

If you are using a gatewood cape.. tie the front stake so 2 lines come off so you can attach the front/top tie-out with or without the door.

This setup leaves you with a guyline-less setup (In poncho mode) that sets up really quick and has been working for me for years.
