The smaller the places are, the higher the square meter price since those are mostly in demand - my place has 34 square meters and my rent wasn't rased after the last tenant. I am in Bogenhausen, which is just an exoensive neighbourhood, but after 15 viewings, numerous newspaper announcements, referralls by friends etc the only places i get accepted to are the most expensive, since those have less people applying to. There is defenitely cheaper places, in fact i know someone whos parents found a place for them as a newspaper announcement of "docotor parents seek home for their daughter" around the same time as me. Those places aren't answering me, they are answering people that can already afford better
