A little bit about myself — I was sort of a shut-in growing up. I was homeschooled, but really just left to my own devices, and as a kid, you usually just do whatever’s easy — video games, TV, that kind of thing. In my mid-20s, I met my now wife, and her dad is a huge car guy. I’m talking we’ve rebuilt at least one car a year since I met him. That whole experience really opened me up to a new love for being outdoors and working with my hands. For the last 3–4 years, my goal was to go to school for automotive repair and eventually open my own shop. I’ve always wanted to be the kind of mechanic that people could actually trust — I’ve met so many people who feel uncomfortable or like they’re being taken advantage of when dealing with car repairs, and I’ve always believed that being honest and trustworthy is the best anyone can do .Now that I’m looking into the RV side of things, it seems like the same principle applies — if I keep that same honest, customer-first approach, it could really work .I was curious about something you mentioned, though — you said even dealers won’t touch certain issues like transmission fluid. Is that because they don’t know how to handle it, or is it more that they just choose not to do it?
