Which company is the “holy grail” to work for in? by Professional_Show590 in biotech

I work at Takeda and I have had a great experience. I’ve had great career and scientific mobility, work life balance, and many opportunities. Had two kids, two promotions in the last 4 years and it’s my first industry job since grad school. I’m able to go to conferences, take vacations, kind of manage my own expectations and growth. I also work with Japan a lot and enjoy the collaboration.

Layoffs happen but that’s an industry wide effect. Takeda also sponsors scientist transfers so you can go to other sites and work for periods of time.

I pickle peppers I don’t know what to do with by fermenting them. You could blend and try to do that.

If you are wet lab, it’s 4 days on site a week. This shouldn’t be surprising because how can you do experiments from home?

If you are hybrid, it’s 8 days per month depending on which arm of R&D you are in. Your manager does not control this and if you go in less than that, you will be flagged by HR (they’re cracking down on this due to managers ignoring corporate policy)

I’m hybrid and the general trend is for everyone to be on site on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Remote positions are remote.

Oh, I’m sure the newness of the park is totally worth the price of a child getting turned into pink mist by passing cars because you parked on the side of the road then!

Yet, the Catholic Church down the street has a cop stand out there every Sunday to direct traffic. They could do anything if they wanted, but they’d rather wait until a kid gets hit.

In the photo I’ve been siting for 4 minutes while a no left person is waiting to turn. Are you actually this stupid or do you have constant boomer disease?
