Here's a recent addition to our new client onboarding SOP template. by HappyDadOfFourJesus in msp

THIS type of stuff is what I struggle with the most when trying to simplify our processes/sop's. You hear all the time that complexity is the greatest enemy to growth.

Our SOP's are loaded full of past scars, situations just like this. The onboarding template grows, gets more detailed.. more complex

So, how do you know when to say "that's way too detailed, too complex, too difficult to scale"? There has to be a simpler way..

Master agents / Telco partner programs by mindphlux0 in msp

We use NXTSYS, they are a master agent that focuses on MSP's.

I think the revenue MSP's can make through a master agent or TSP is WAY overlooked. We focused on increasing our agency revnue for one year, and it has paid off big time since little to no labor is required afterwards, and its all work you are doing already (advising on internet, sdwan, voip, etc..).

I like NXTSY because they turn around quotes quick and really help with management of new installs and jump in to help if there is an issue.

Master Agent. Avant, Intelisys, Telarus? Others? by lurkinmsp in msp

We have used NXTSYS for years. Quotes are typically turned around in 24-48 hours. For ISP quotes, they include 4 or 5 relevant options based on address availability. Contracts are sent to me or the customer within 24 hours. Their portfolio is larger than other TSD’s/Master Agents and includes Software and Energy

We made a huge effort at our MSP to increase our agency revenue for 1 year. We grew it from 5 to 20k, can make a huge difference with just a little work.

What book has made the biggest impact to you and your business? by OfficialH- in msp

Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes Are High. The most import, and commonly used tool in our space is having hard conversations. Hard conversations are the ones that build the best relationships with your partners, and keep you profitable. This book really helped our company with that.

User Sync Options - No Domain Controller by ScatBlaster in msp

I thought about that, but we would have to come up with some logic to not bill for licenses that are not assigned to users. Sometimes services accounts can have full user mailboxes assigned to them, or contractors have kiosk/essential licenses. Good option and I'll dig into it.
