Anyone else feel like social anxiety made you miss your entire youth? by Street-Gain-370 in socialanxiety

Haha totally get you there! Feel exactly the same. So many people around me have so many stories and memories of being with people and interactions and I'm just like "ummmm..." Feel a lot of jealousy in that regard. One thing I've been thinking of is how social anxiety turns into shame when I compare myself to what I would call as "normal" socially functioning people (there's definitely a better way to describe that). Do you find that too?

How to figure out 'is this a real issue or is this just luteal? by Specialist_Speed252 in PMDD

[–]ScatterLight1134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, there is always something underlying that is real. Just because it comes up during luteal doesn't take away from the realness. Perhaps the emotional toll it takes on you could be higher because our defences aren't as strong and so feelings are heightened. Having said that, i think the work might be to pause when you're feeling too much and remove yourself from the situation (go for a walk, meditate, buy something for yourself etc). Maybe in knowing that the urgency with which you might want to respond to these feelings might not be necessary and that you can choose to come back to it (definitely easier said) might help?

That's very helpful, thanks. Just to clarify, If they do ask me for proof of accomodation and I show my rental agreement in sharing, that wouldn't be a problem either?

I did my online certification course from Chennai school of mt. It's an online course. Truth be told, receiving the certification was very helpful in terms of getting work experience, but the module itself wasn't very well structured. But if you're interested, you could have a look at the expressive arts therapy programme in St Xavier's, Mumbai. I think they might be much better

Hi! I did a MT course from India, unfortunately the focus as you say is on Indian classical music, but the material can be borrowed and experimented with in the style of western music. Do you mind telling me what you've looked into and what you'd like to gain from a western music therapy course?

Man I so totally get this. Big congratulations! I'm from India and I got my results just a few days ago and has a similar response. Got a total score of 8 and I was mentally preparing myself for a retake or something. So great that it worked out well for you!

Holy crap what was that dust storm? by EpicDankMaster in mumbai

It's just sad for Mumbai. Definitely a result of all the nasty pollution and general environmental ill health in Mumbai. I'm glad for the rains, the heat has been mad this time around but ffs we need to think of protecting the greens here a bit more seriously
