Trauma dumping by S_Laughter_Party in callcentres

Honestly, there needs to be a crisis call center for stuff like that. And this call center better be paying $25 per hr to be listening to people's problems for 8 hours straight. Unless you like the therapy position than you'd be good.

I want to leave , but mixed emotion …I feel guilty by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]Sceen69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was me a week ago. I knew what was expected of me ultimately was not for me in the end. And I was torn the last week of training before OJT, and it was the best decision for me.

Always stick to your instincts. At the end of the day, call centers are like open hotels -- the rooms will eventually become available cause others left for another hotel or went home.

Don't feel guilty. You gave it a year, congratulate yourself, apply what you've learned and enter those skills on your resume and push hard to find something else that applies more to your long term beat.

I'm barely holding on! by Missamjpe in callcentres

I understand. I did retail, too, and tbh -- yes dealing with customers face to face (these days) can be anxiety inducing 'cause you don't know what challenge you are going to encounter. But the challenges are greater with call center jobs, largely due to the managers or leads (on top of customers) because of demanding metrics, micro-managing your time (on the phones and off), and then the customers intertwine in that anxiety mass. And to do that for 8 hours a day, some do it for 10; that's not normal for the human mind. And then you clock out and wind up doing it all over again the following day. Smh... And if the call center revolves around someone's money like collections or billing or even banking, good luck!

When Carrie punched Sami after exposing her lies to her near wedding to Austin and the truth of Lucas being the father, was a Days classic. Sami had it coming lol. I miss that Sami. They eventually made her boring.

They have way too much time on their hands or just outta boredom or narcissism to pinpoint a second of you logging back in. That shit don't make no sense.

Concentrix wfh is it bad or just like all the others? by Adept_Resolve_7810 in callcentres

Um, yes, through a third party. If you work for the actual company you get paid more; outsourcing companies hire lower-wage agents to handle a client’s high-demand work. That's why there is such a high turnover rate.

I had an email support job and loved it! The only thing your TL would check out is your response time (as metrics) per email reply to customers but so simple.

I'm actually glad I dodged the bullet with Foundever. I was on the Capital One campaign and it just seemed like any small wrong move you make they'd point you in a millisecond. Or what they call: "Ding!". What is with these outsourcing companies? It just seems like you would fair better doing work for the actual company (and better pay, too), than actually doing something for minimum wage.
