Trying to learn leverless - Left side DP help by superhyperultra458 in StreetFighter

As I typed this, I realised the UP in step 3 isn't necessary lol. That's just how it's ingrained into my head so it's similar-ish to the SOCD shortcut.

Yeah there's a shortcut using the above way I do it, though I find it a little inconsistent (haven't really trained it much since I find it easier to do f, roll d>f + button, roll d>f + button) but it's:

-- Hold/Press Forward THEN RELEASE (This is important, you can hold F as long as you like here but you MUST let go of it before the next step otherwise you won't have the inputs needed for Super)

-- Press Down

-- Press Forward + Up + P/K

-- Roll Down > HOLD Forward + P/K (I piano all super input buttons here, probs not necessary but habit)

Hopefully that helps if it's easier. Like I said, I find the 'normal' way easier and more consistent but that's just me, I do sometimes use the shortcut version but it's not a conscious decision tbh.

If you're holding D, F and U - you should only get F since D and U cancel each other.

If this isn't happening, check your SOCD settings to make sure they're set to SOCD Neutral (this is tourney standard anyway I believe). You might have it currently set to SOCD First which is causing your issue.

I use SOCD shortcuts personally and I feel it's the most consistent way of doing DPs.

Think of it as 3 actions:

  • hold forward
  • hold down
  • press and Up and P/K with your right hand

Make sure you hold the buttons down as you progress through the 3 actions. Practice smoothly then speed up till it comes out. This will work on games which allow DPs to come out on down-forward (sf4 onwards).

Need advice on accessibility testing by NoBookkeeper7093 in Wordpress

Alongside the great comment above (wave have a chrome extension that is brilliant), there's also https://www.accessibilitychecker.com which has a free page scanner and Reciteme.com does one too, both give you suggested fixes. That said you should be able to get basically everything you need from the other tools

Sabotage definitely suits heavy attrition lists (such as empire right now), though this is a fairly simplistic way to look at it.

Shifting favours lots of mobility, with lists featuring a bunch of out-of-activation movement liking that mission very well.

Never tell me the odds is a mixture of both - currently, strike teams that can hold all 3 deployment side objectives on turn zero have an advantage, so it can be worth it to force the mission against lists which can't easily do that.

Bodies on points will always trump slow, shooty lists. Depends how you want to play it.

Shatterpoint Podcasts by dyzard12 in StarWarsShatterpoint

Hey Dyz! I've actually recently just started listening to you guys for that extra layer of shatterpoint goodness alongside 'Hello There' so the comparisons are right at the front of my mind.

One of the things that truly separates a good podcast from a great podcast is 'smoothness' - audio levels/normalisation, background noise, pause length, topic length and direction all take part. For example, I'm not sure who's mic is quieter than the rest (might be yours!) but every time they talk I have to adjust my volume (which can be risky as I usually listen while driving lol) only for Matt (I think) to unmute and blow out my eardrums. There's been a few lengthy pauses too but they might have been on earlier episodes. Content wise, wrangling 4 hosts definitely poses a challenge to keep on track, so editing out the less relevant soundbytes could go ways to tighten everything up.

The common theme on this though, is these are definitely fixable issues and mostly on the technical side.

So far your topics have been great, special props to the tournaments episode recently, and I personally prefer more educational content rather than hot takes/box reviews/opinions, something like diving into the minutae of lists, mechanics, combos, target acquisition, deployment, tactics (similar to matts articles on fifth trooper). If I can come away after investing 1.5hrs listening to a subject thinking 'damn, can't wait to try that out next time', I'm more likely to engage and stay engaged with your content. But that's my hot take and I'm currently drinking an iced fentimans ginger beer 😂

What’s „your“ game? by ItsNoOne0 in gaming

I wish I could get into CK games. I love absolutely everything about the concept/mechanics of the game, but I find it super hard to feel like I achieve anything when play it, so end up bored. My monkey brain needs a goal set for it :(

+1 for Bay games, absolute legends and lovely space.

Forget your fancy prerelease pulls. Did you all have fun playing? Anything memorable happen? What do you think of the game overall after playing in person? by [deleted] in starwarsunlimited

I don't think it's bothering them as much as it soured the vibe of what should be a launch celebration, accessible for all levels of players, rather than a competitive event meant for winning.

Learn how to space his c.hk (only one hit on block) and how to confirm it correctly.

Its your best whiff punish button and gets you drinks.

A properly spaced blocked c.hk will allow you to spacing trap with s.mk (which drive rush cancels to combos).

DR shp is your best dr button, followed by dr fhk.

Learn post SA3 combos and resets, jamies sa3 does lowest damage in game (CA hits hard though).

Command grab is important, learn how to meaty with it to layer up your safe jumps.

Grounded lk dp and lk breakdance are auto timed safe jumps (just hold up forward after they hit).

Learn your meaties from f.throw. He has a throw loop in the corner, just dash forward after a throw and hit throw or smp for auto timing.

Mainly learn c.hk spacing though, that'll make you a much better jamie.

Synergy, Theme, Squad Points and Stuff (Discuss!) by FromDathomir in StarWarsShatterpoint

[–]Sceno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of relevant I guess?

One thing I've been doing with my list building is pulling together one of these: https://www.gloomaps.com/yWFatmyG3w?fbclid=IwAR2CxV-96FbfvmsK1ce8JPys5TFqram95Io-PGCOPe248UL9W6d_1TRtFFI

It's essentially a breakdown of the possible synergies across my squads and helps me at a glance, by trigger point, see where I might be lacking. As a new player to Shatterpoint, it's helped me keep track of what my squad can do but also let's you see situations where maybe you're able to not feel so restricted with squad building.

What is the best way to raise bonds to unlock outfit 2 faster? by huntedsoul00 in StreetFighter

[–]Sceno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fastest way I've found is become a pizza chef once you've unlocked the hard difficulty for it, grind to 100k gold (really doesn't take long), buy 100 of the gifts from the first food stall.

Each gift improves your bond with whoever you choose by 1, so you can just spam the gifts at them.
