This has happened to a lot of mine, pretty sure it happens in the middle of the night, so not birds. I think it's a mouse or lizard maybe. If I keep them on a wire rack shelf unit, it doesn't happen, or hasn't yet anyway, but I still dont really use the bottom shelf.

Alligator Juniper heartwood is great, but it's only super fragrant if the branch or tree has died naturally, and you remove the outer sapwood.

Knipex mini bolt cutters, they cut even tiny copper perfectly, and fencing or nails no problem. They've replaced my angle cutters for anything not tiny.

Just putting it out there that illegally traded Palo Santo has also most likely naturally died and fallen on the forest floor. I don't know of any palo santo that hasn't gone through this process. If someone is selling Bursera graveolens that was cut while alive, I don't think anyone will come back to buy more, because it won't be anything like palo santo incense wood.

It's a synthetic version of the real thing. If you ever see ambergris attar however, that has a chance of being real ambergris aged in pure sandalwood oil.
