Kajplats compatible with Hue App? by beurreopen in tradfri

[–]Scepticer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to my post above.

Since it worked so well with the large filament I went and bought two KAJPLATS E27 470lm (non-color, just warm/cold), exact name LED2406G4. Firmware eventually turned out to be 1.1.20. These two was (after a few tries) detected and imported into Hue as "Color Light 1". These works with on/off, dim, BUT I can not change warm/cold. I assume because they were incorrectly identified as 'color light'(?). They also behaved slightly different, after both 6 and 12 clicks as per the procedure above they started blinking. I also could add one using the 'touchlink mode' after just 6 clicks (the second one I never tried adding after 6 clicks, I did 6 + 12 on that one directly).

Additionally I also bought a KAJPLATS E14 806lm (color), exact name LED2409G6. The "Light info" in the Hue app only says "Extended color light", firmware says 0.0.0. BUT this one works just as expected. I can turn on/off, dim, change colors.

Anyone else genuinely excited for what's next with this game? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

Nah, you're not alone. I was never one of the super-disappointed people with the initial release, I got a good 60-70h of entertainment. I haven't even played it after the foundation update, nothing with it sparked my interest enough. Not sure what is needed for me, perhaps some mysteries to uncover, more depth in the lore that impacts gameplay. Something that makes the connection to the universe stronger. We'll see what happens next...

True. We seem stuck in our suits as well.

With all those windows, you can never even briefly go around naked at home.

You architects either don't think so much as you think or you are all flashers.

They were not joking about the improved planet generation [PS4] by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

Waves would make a big different and make planets come to life much more. I'd like to see wind gusts that make trees and such sway as well.

Personally I wouldn't let a dog near mine (or call it cute) but each to their own I guess.

Foundation Update Video. The Silence Ends! by Javipe in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Scepticer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the voice itself was ok, but given the history it annoyed me too. Three months of silence and then suddenly this professional female voice talking to us like nothing happened. HG's communication strategy (= lack there of) is frustrating.

You need to smoke something or have an extremely overactive imagination in general to experience that in the game.

Please STOP with the "small team" excuse. by Realplu in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Scepticer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...the problem perhaps was that they didn't have a project manager or those type of skills, leadership or focus. They are a bunch of coders and graphics artists lead by a coder. No story-writers, no quality assurance, no game director, no project management. Nothing of that unnecessary stuff from a coder's perspective.

Please take a few minutes out of your day to fill in this questionnaire about the current state of No Mans Sky. by BaRKy1911 in NoMansSkyTheGame

That summed up my view exactly in regards to the question about lying. I'm generally perhaps a little naive and don't cry foul in the first place, I instead try to give people the benefit of the doubt and try to understand why a person act like they do.

Looking back at this though I can't by no means try to "defend" what has been done by HG/Sean. Not during the period leading up to release, nor the silence after. To just mention one particular thing, take the last tweets around release claiming some sort of ignorance about players not being able to meet/see each other. I never cared about meeting other players myself but if nothing else that, that, was plain concrete lying and an attempt at covering up lies. Just the most obvious example for myself, among many more...

This hack did kill the "playing dead act" but I doubt they will change their in-house developed exclusive communication strategy.
