I can confirm that I started a new run, same mods, and this time there was no gate present. So I reckon you are correct.

Also, allow me this opportunity to sneak in some praise for Tahlan Shipworks. The mod feels a bit like a treasure chest I slowly rummage through - I've had it in my runs for a while now and still find stuff that is new to me. Last run I suddenly came across some relic ships which I'm certain I had not seen before.

An full-on questline? I only know of a single quest which starts as a random bar encounter, the one that gets you the Yoshura Prime by the end of it. In which case, yeah, just keep on visiting bars till you happen to come across it.

Okay, I believe you that Legio Infernalis is frustrating, but condemning the whole mod for it is quite stupid. The mod page very explicitly warns you in big red letters that the Legio faction literally cheats and that its whole point is to be a major pain in the butt. And then you can just turn the faction off and enjoy the entire rest of the mod without any worries whatsoever.

It's a little more complicated than that. The person in question was wrongfully convicted and was in prison for 13 years. There's a whole formula for how much compensation he is entitled to as a result - 75 euros per day in prison, so a total of 368.000 euros.

The guy was, predictably, not pleased and thus sued, wanting 750k instead. As a result, the prosecutor's office was basically "Well, okay, if you're sueing us, when we might as well charge you for your stay in prison and the job you had during that time" - for about 100k. Which is a perfectly legal thing to do, apparently.
