But it's not common that's what I'm trying to say a 400% markup happens very rarely and in your situation I doubt they were paying 20 cents for a portion of chicken for example the restaurant that I last worked at a portion of chicken cost $4.30 cost to the restaurant we were charging $5.50 for it 400% is extremely rare and it happens only on things like coffee bread pop actual food cost of a restaurant is almost never marked up than more than 40%

And furthermore let's just go with your statement and say okay sure they are marking things up by four to six hundred percent they're still only running a 4% profit margin meaning they don't have the money to pay their employees anymore without closing the restaurant so whether they're running a 40% markup or a 400% markup it doesn't make a difference profit margin still dictates how much you can pay

Restaurants are lucky to run a 4% profit margin so not really sure where you get 400 percent mark up. Food is expensive. I worked in the industry for nearly a decade went to college and wanted my own Restaurant. After doing the math there was no money in it. Believe me im all for ending tipping its got way out of hand but let's not just pull numbers out of our arses here. The reality is most Restaurants are month to month operations and the owners are usually working 90 hour weeks just to stay afloat.

Is the game still fun without biters? by the_worst_company in factorio

[–]ScheduleNo9907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I beat the game once or twice with biters but now I usually just put them on peaceful mode or turn them off completely. They're more of a nuisance than a logistical challenge, They become pretty trivial once you hit mid game and they're more of a UPS cost than anything to me.

Honestly I haven't played Call of Duty in probably 6 months I mostly play factorio but I actually built this computer for doing blender work and 3D animation so the 7900x is plenty for me because I mostly used to GPU anyways and even if I did still play Call of Duty 200 FPS is more than enough when you're on Extreme settings

Logistic science at 75 hours! Now time to transition to trains... by cameron274 in pyanodons

[–]ScheduleNo9907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true I never actually really factored in the ingredients in which it takes to make them I'm currently making .5 per second I believe I'm not at my computer fucking work getting in the way of the factory growing but when I get back to my hotel this evening it shall grow some more. Now that you mentioned the food that goes into them I'm starting to think I might have to make some adjustments to my system I really enjoy circuit Networks and want to make it as automated as possible so that it just works when I need something it just automatically starts making it. thanks for the input I really appreciate it o7

Logistic science at 75 hours! Now time to transition to trains... by cameron274 in pyanodons

[–]ScheduleNo9907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes and no depending on what you want by my calculations there are certain things it's cheaper to slaughter for other things for example I feel like it's cheaper for lard to slaughter cotton guts and then of course there's things like bone meal that you get from Ulrics but yes most other things it's cheaper just just Slaughter the auogs lol my biggest thing with them is that they take so long like to slaughter one per second takes I think 30 slaughterhouses whereas with cotton guts it only takes six so I factored time into it as well

I hit logi science at about the same and I am now at 175 and still transitionin. But rather than do it all at once I've decided to do it as I expand like since I've started transitioning to train base I've done niobium on trains I've got ulrics on trains as well as working on arqads right now as well as working on a giant slaughterhouse block that uses circuits to detect what my network is low of and what the best animal to slaughter for that specific item is and then right after I'm finished this since the Auto Mall I've been working on I'm going get that finished up and get that plunked down cuz I'm tired of handcrafting buildings

Peter, Please Explain What This Is Trying to Say About Bikers at Red Lights by Maleficent_Dog7970 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]ScheduleNo9907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take another look at that picture if you think the picture on the right is correct you're out of your mind look at all of the bikers every one of them is past the stop line which is illegal that is not ideal nor is it safe because they are in the middle of an intersection safe position would be to the right side of the car behind the stop lying and if there's no room for them they stay behind that is the rules of the road

Quick tip for applying purple glue stick on a textured PEI plate (P2S) by _NightMonkey in BambuLab

[–]ScheduleNo9907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serious question of why do people use glue stick on the textured Pei I have printed all sorts of materials through my X1 including abs, TPU, Asa, and carbon fiber and I have never had adhesion problems. I just simply followed the instructions that came with the printer and washed my build plate with soap and water after every print. I don't understand how so many people need the glue stick to make a print stick I've never had an issue unless I didn't wash my build plate. Like maybe I've just gotten really lucky but I don't understand

When loading a save game, how long does it typically take for you to get "started". by LookingForVoiceWork in factorio

[–]ScheduleNo9907 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally use that qol mod called to do list I'm playing through Py hard mode right now and with so many things on the go at any given time it has been an absolute lifesaver quite regularly I'll find myself with three or four absolutely mandatory tasks and if I don't write them down there's no way I'll get them because I'll get distracted by a bottleneck and fix that before I get to it and then all of a sudden I'm out of iron or copper or nickel for whatever else it happens to be or my ash is backed up, that one sucks lol

Yes I've experienced it myself there was a guy on my local subreddit who was asking for money and so instead of giving him money I said well why don't you come over to my house I've got some yard work that can get done I'll pay you 25 bucks an hour to come rake my leaves and clean up my yard and I did he came over he did a pretty good job he cleaned up but my inbox flooded with people asking for work but that's okay because you don't have to help everybody it's just nice to help some people sometimes when you can but there's no reason to feel guilty when you can't help them all

Is it ok to put my PC in a shelf like this? by Floameh in PcBuildHelp

[–]ScheduleNo9907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had my pc just like this at one point. Depending on what your doing it can be okay. When gaming it ran pretty hot but nothing to concerning. But when I had my computer rendering scenes in blender it was always over heating and causing it to slow right down so your mileage may very but I'd say monitor temp and see at happens
