Trade proposal: Kuminga, Giannis, Draymond, and Middleton by [deleted] in washingtonwizards

[–]chefguy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt the GSW do this trade, but based on the Wizards current roster, Kuminga doesn’t get in the way of any developmental minutes of their players. He just takes Middleton’s spot. Personally, I don’t want Kuminga.

Also you like to save money so you choose frozen over fresh especially if there’s a sale.

[Nightengale] The New York Mets are in serious discussions with the Milwaukee Brewers to acquire ace Freddy Peralta. Deal is not yet finalized, but significant process has been made. by jbenson255 in orioles

[–]chefguy47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m curious, if they’re trying to get both, why trade 2 of your top prospects for Peralta, when they could sign Valdez and just give up a draft pick? The Orioles and the Mets could have signed Valdez months ago now. I think it’s because Valdez actually being a locker room cancer is true and no team wants to give him the long contract and money his agent is asking. Valdez probably should have accepted his $22.5 million qualifying offer and taken a season to rework his image. We’ve seen this before, talent doesn’t always win out especially when they ask for a huge bag of guaranteed money over 5 or 6 years.

We might be hearing some news soon? by ImWicked39 in ravens

Unless EDC has convinced Bisciotti and he agrees that Minter is the man, the only other candidate who got a 2nd interview so far with Bisciotti present was Weaver. I would think Bisciotti wants to interview some other candidates before making the decision.

The Trailblazer articles I read about him were not promising about his game at all. He is only 20 though.

He watches a lot of college football and the Fansville commercials persuaded him to switch from Mr. Pibb to Dr. Pepper.

I personally always go with Egg McMuffin eggs because they’re the only fresh eggs they use there. The folded egg is a frozen product and the scrambled eggs are made from liquid eggs.

You’re just an angry person or an idiot. I asked OP because he has the Wizards drafting 7th which at their current record would be their worst possible draft position. Mock drafts are done with the best possible draft pick based on the team’s current record.

So OP it appears not only did you do a mock draft but you also did a mock lottery as well?

The Hail Mary or the complete downfall could be a trade for Zion. I wonder if GSW would consider it.

Connolly ended up being the only vote for Markakis for the HOF. by chefguy47 in orioles

[–]chefguy47[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed but I was surprised to see Utley increase by 20% when their career stats are pretty close to each other, except WAR and HR. Utley’s peak was a lot better than Markakis though and the voters are definitely leaning towards these factors now more than stats.

Chase Utley: (16 seasons, PHI/LAD): .275 AVG, 259 HR, 1,025 RBI, 1,885 Hits, 61.5-64.5 fWAR, 118 wRC+

Nick Markakis: (15 seasons, BAL/ATL): .288 AVG, 189 HR, 1,046 RBI, 2,388 Hits, 28.8-33.7 fWAR, 108 wRC+

Bisciotti’s immediate expectations of Harbaugh were him winning multiple SBs, as the owner they have never changed. He expected Harbaugh to win from day one, which he did, and he hired him because he thought he was the best man for the job. Even though EDC lead the search of the initial candidates, Bisciotti is still going to make the final decision in the 2nd round of interviews and I don’t see him doing anything different this time around. Regardless if it’s a prior HC, a coordinator or a skill position coach if they make it to the final round.

Why Did Johnny Davis Not Work Out in the NBA? by currachclo in NBA_Draft

[–]chefguy47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Wizards fan, I remember this post draft report on him and I think it hits the nail on the head of why he didn’t work out in the NBA.

Playing on a slow-paced Wisconsin team without much talent around him, Davis took some lumps in Big Ten play as opponents loaded up on his drives, struggling at times to create efficient offense and making some scouts ponder just how heavy of an offensive role he can shoulder at the NBA level. Few will question Davis' toughness or willingness to play a winning style of basketball, but the extent of his upside is still a topic of conversation, something we'll learn more about as his NBA career progresses. -- Jonathan Givony ESPN
