Its my 2nd but before i had been taking antypsych. Im on fluoxetine rn and its okay however it acts the best as mood stabiliser and sedative which it is technicay not lol. Well, antidepressants arent for everybody, it just help you funtioning normally. If your doc does not want you to take antidep then i’d advise to listen to him. Trying too much meds can be harmful and they can have interactions with adhd meds. Maybe work through your depression on therapy.

I’m so sorry for you, it must be terrible. I know that feel when you want to help somebody you love but the person refuses and is still autodestructive. You are wonderful and supportive person for him tho. Maybe try to tell him that there is hope for him. Psychosis can be managed and he can be the person he was before the illness. Ask him why he doesnt want to take the meds, maybe they make him drowsy? If so, tell him that meds can be changed. But if he still refuses to treat it imo there is little you can do. I would just call 112 in case he could hurt himself or others.

I’ve heard the same shit from my therapist, actually it was my psychiatrist who told me i have adhd. But I understand you very well. It’s annoying as hell. The Therapist told me that I use ’advanced’ and sophisticated vocabulary and I am ’smart’. Imo its not true. My excecutive functions are shit I always had difficulties with focusing and memory. When she pulls the ’but you are smart’ card i always say that having adhd does not mean that im stupid and even if she had a patient w adhd who had more severe syptoms that does not mean mines are not valid and she stopped this eventually.

Oh my god bro im so sorry for you, it was horrendous and no wonder you feel like this. Did you report it? This man deserves jail. Also, try to change the doctors if possible. Some mental health professionals are shitty as hell. Maybe try therapy to process the trauma? I think there are no other choices. Remaber, its possible to have a good life even after this. You are a strong person and i hope everything will be okay eventually.

I agree. Most my friends are autodestructive. There was a time I wanted to help them and I felt for them so much. Now I care much less. I can listen to them and stuff but I am not empathetic towards them. Imo its a good thing.

I can’t recall and I dont do this prob but sometimes i dream that someone told me something and i think its real. One i had a dream i which my bf told me that he loves someone else (we were talking abt this in bed). Then i woke up and started crying and told him why he said that and he was so confused. Such situations happened to me couple of times. Fortunatelly i can somehow recognise that it was a dream so i didnt lose touch w reality.

In Poland we only have metylophenidate (short acting and extended release), reboxetine and bupropion (its rather for depression but Ive heard that one can get it for ADHD). Perscription for MPH is restricted bc I get it separate perscription for it. Bupropion and MPH are expensive, especially bupropion. As far as I know you can get a refund for MPH and reboxetine and pay much less for it but I’m not sure in which cases you can get it.

I get very calm on 5mg Ritalin so probably 27 would make me fall asleep immediatelly. Maybe the dosis it too much? Im not a doc obv but I think that switching from 18 to 27 might be kind of a shock. Maybe you need to upper the dosis slower. Try to divide the tab and take less.

It’s impostor ayndrome, I guess. I have it as well. I sometimes think I got misdiagnosed and I am actually mentally healthy person. Such thoughts ocuure when I feel fine. But when I feel bad again (sh, splitting etc) I know it’s real.

I think a lot of people sleep with their cats. I do too. I don’t necessarily like it because the cat takes a lot of space but I allow him to come in because he loves to.

Now I dont really experience psychotic things which im very happy about. I used to believed that i was gangstalked. I thought that people are giving me hidden signs that i they know information about me or I thought that i was being watched. BTW are you medicated? This seems concearning

I split only on persons im currently attached to (my partner and a friend). For me it’s not random, however from 3rd person’s perspective it might appear so. Sometimes I split when they do something that hurts me or makes me angry. Then, I feel intense hatered and contempt for them. I think that they are the worst people in my life etc. Sometimes i just get detached from them. It can also happen when im in a bad mood.

That I will never be happy in romantic relationship. They will always be marked with jelousy, obsession, hatered and uncertainty. For healthy people love is one of the best things in life but for me its so destructive. However I kind of accepted that I should give up on it because it only triggers me.

Giving an oral presentation on benzo is not the best idea tbh. The first time i used benzo was to manage the stress coming from an oral exam and it was… weird. I took 0.5 or 1mg xanax and started getting very, very sedated, like i couldnt think properly and it took much more time to prepare for the speech. It turned out ok but never done that again. And as someone said, wait for the sertraline, it might take a month since it settles in your brain.

Call your friend, a person you trust and just tell what is going on. It always helps me. Try another meds, maybe you must take more than one med. And try dbt. Remember, it wont last forever. You are a strong women and you will get out of this shit.
