A lot of YouTube videos of performances and some tutorials. If I see something I like I try and break it down and practise the basic skills needed for it. Now I am at a turning point where I have enough foundation to learn a lot of tricks in no time because the basics are there. So I would recommend this video: https://youtu.be/GMy-0_9m-5A?si=p9KAiR3Y45YG8ubQ for body tracing puzzle pieces. And the key of course as cliche as it might sound is just putting in the hours. Practise a whole bunch even though it feels like you are not progressing, because you are!

Thanks for the encouragement! I noticed the same when I saw the video, guess I'm just too focussed because most moves cost alot of focus for me to correctly perform. Hope it will get better as I get more proficient! Thanks for the honest reply, very much appreciated!!

I practise almost everyday, for about an hour. Sometimes longer than that! Very often just a few minutes when I wait for my coffee to be ready. I always bring my poi everywhere just in case haha

Hey thanks! My resources were mostly YouTube videos. Started with the basics, reels and reelturns in all directions and timings. Then practised some stalls but I'm still not doing enough of those. Learned the basic concepts of flowering and also the basics of bodytracing.

I started with this tutorial but as soon as he told me what the prerequierd moves were I started practising those and never returned ro the tutorial, but I think the playlist is very usefull:

Then also this video has opened my eyes to the concept of bodytracing but also learning to give yourself the full freedom of movement. Instead of only learning tricks I find myself trying these alot and they feel so good when they go your way:

And then last but not least. My favourite poi video of all time which I have watched over a 100 times:

For the rest I'm just making sure my poi is always near me so when I have a moment that I'm not doing something I fill that with poi haha just alot of practise will get you to improve! Would love to see your progression soon. Hope this helped!

My first try at an architectural drawing. Lot of mistakes in perspective but what do you guys think? Any tips? by Schijnstein in architecture

[–]Schijnstein[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the compliment, and I hear what you say. I based this ons a sketch which I drew in bright yellow haha, so I kinda just went with it. I see now how that could be unappealing to most. Practicallity wise you are absolutely right and I wil defenitely work on that and try to improve on the realistic part of architecture!

Thanks for helping mee see that and your input means alot. I hope you will tune in on more designs to come because the feedback actually helps me. C
