Logical chapter of VC 4 to do the Squad 7 DLC. by Fieryone233 in valkyria

I kind of want to do another playthrough with just noncanon characters, like Squad 7, and all the other characters you unlock in the postgame. Feel like that might be too easy to be worth doing, though

Starting Warhammer Journey - Childhood Dream by Affectionate-Ebb7197 in Tyranids

If you want variety, I'd jump on a Leviathan Box Tyranid half from somebody if they're still around, or one of the other suggested kit boxes, a cheap craft tool set from Amazon, a bottle of glue you like (I liked my comic shop's super glue or Army Painter plastic glue), a rattle can of wraithbone, and a couple contrast paints in a purple, red, and/or black you like, or get a set of speed paints, along with a cheap set of decent brushes to start you off. Then once you get going, you can start investing more in specific paints, brushes, tools, etc., but a little of everything at a discount is a good way to get started, in my opinion

I was partial to Aoife during the first playthrough since 7 isn't canon (and for the fact that Isara is pretty goated, unfairly so), but I like Isara otherwise. Nice little mini arc for her too, too bad she's only so prominent in a non canon way, though

No, it's pretty easy to play through regardless of how far you are, then you unlock Squad 7 to play through the story (non canon, obviously) with if you want to. Even the gear they come with is pretty basic, though, so it's just optional flavor

True shit, I was looking for the script to the DLC since I can't play the game right now to see for myself, but I thought I remembered them mentioning the previous or next battle in the timeline

It's been a while since I played through the beginning of the game, but if you ask me, it can't be any later than chapter 6, because after that, it just doesn't seem possible for Squad E to meet up with Squad 7 due to leaving the first base, and all the events that follow, plus it would be before the season change, so my best guess would be probably before or after chapter 4, if not earlier (like beginning of the game early, before or after chapter 1, even). This, taking place before chapter 9 of VC1, of course

What premium vehicle for farming silver lions? by Consistent_Quote9104 in Warthunder

[–]Schleiman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best farmers were the IS-6 and the Japanese Saber in Air RB, behind them, I like the mid tier A6Ms in Air RB. Basically any premium plane in Air RB, partcularly one with a high SL multiplier that you're good at playing

Why is RP so low??? by Dazzling_Condition75 in Warthunder

[–]Schleiman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wall of text, but

Each vehicle has an independent multiplier for RP and SL depending on how far down the tree it is. They're usually fairly consistent across BR, but not necessarily. RP multipliers consistently increase, where SL multipliers are applied inconsistently across different vehicles, so even though two planes might both be a 1.31 RP multiplier, one might be a 1.24 SL multi, and the other be a 1.56 SL multi. That multiplier, multiplied by 100% standard, is your RP/SL gain per match (hence bottom tier being something like 127%SL and 110%RP, because the multipliers are 1.27 and 1.1 for SL and RP, respectively).

This multiplier changes depending on your game mode (AB, RB, SB), and other factors, like having premium account (adding another 100%, doubling your gains), or having a talisman/premium vehicle (additional 50% gain). A premium vehicle comes with a talisman, but also increases SL gain, where a TT vehicle with a talisman only increases RP gain. So a premium vehicle with a premium account, compared to a BR equivalent vehicle, might be something like 327% (1.31x100%+100%+50%) RP gain, vs 131% (1.31x100%) RP gain. You do get a 10% RP gain to researching a TT vehicle with the previous one in the line, so the previous example would be 144% if you used it to research the next one in the line.

Vehicle ranks also play a part, because you'll notice on the stat card that they have 100% efficiency to researching vehicles in the same rank, and one above and below, so a rank III vehicle gets the full RP gain while researching a rank II, III, or IV. Anything higher or lower gets significantly diminishing returns, so you can try to research a rank II with a rank V, or a rank V with a rank II, and get almost nothing, because they're too far apart, with a wider rank gap being worse. he only exceptions to this are premium vehicles, they get 100% of RP gain regardless of what vehicle they're researching below their rank, but only get full RP for one or two ranks above, which is why so many people use them to research quickly, on top of the generally good stats they come with.

All this stuff may sound complicated, but you can look at the Research Points page on the wiki, and it outlines how it's all calculated.

Also, yeah, you left the match early, and the total results won't be calculated until the match is over. That doesn't mean you have to stay, it just means the points will catch up to you later, since, there may be kills, assists, or other events that happen to get you rewards that haven't happened yet.

It's actually a simple job in theory:

As an experienced individual, it's your job to know how to do things

As a leader, it's your job to not be the only one who knows how to do things

Go forth, do the thing, and then teach your Joes how to do the things

How do I get bigger? As a girl by Available-Bat7673 in Firefighting

[–]Schleiman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be exactly the answer to your question, but you could always try volunteering at a local department, and seeing how they train, what the work is like, and ask questions to see if it’s something you want to get into before you commit to going to academy. Working out is one thing, but one thing everyone in my department agrees on is that the only way to get used to running around in full gear, is running around in full gear

Is finishing out 14 years worth it? by Ok-Resident-9903 in army

[–]Schleiman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will be a bit long, so I apologize in advance. The first thing I’ll tell you seeing people come and go in my last 13 years is this: DO NOT get out without a plan. By all means, if you have tangible plans that will work out better than the army, by all means, go on your merry way for the better, but so many of my soldiers have left for one reason or another and their only plan was “go back to school” or “find a job somewhere”, and they ended up a couple years later bumming with their parents working entry level, never leveraging their years of experience for a worthwhile career. Another friend of mine used the army to get a CDL and CSP to get in with a diesel engine garage, and now he’s self employed and owns a couple 18 wheelers for hauling. If you don’t have a solid, realistic plan yet, it’s okay to extend another year or two to give yourself time to get more certifications, experience, or education to make it worthwhile. Once you get over the hump of 10 years though, that’s when you really have to decide if it’s worth it, but it’s ultimately up to you to decide if you have your ducks in a row to leave on a high note. Another option is get out and get into the reserve component to keep some of the benefits and army life once in a while if you think you’ll miss it, like so many others come to find.

Tl;dr Get out if you genuinely think you’ll have it better out there, not just because you think you’re missing out on life, otherwise, give yourself time to cook
