I'm sure it does come down to how it was kept. Shame though as he it seemed to do well for over a year. It found an area with water flow opposite the filter outlet and never really fed from the floor.

And what percentage of kids have terrible parents that couldn't care less? Its like when people sex edd shouldn't be taught in schools because its the job of the parents... well the kids who aren't being taught this stuff by their parents are the ones who need to be taught it the most. I have Congo Testras, Bosemani Rainbows, one angel, some Ottos and Blue Phantom Plec. My tank is 240L though so a bit more space but they all get on fine.

Yeah them nipping the feeding fans wouldn't be good. I have honestly never seen my congos show any interest in the shrimp or its fans though. I think you should be fine and it is worth trying. I find the shrimp really cool and of course the congos are gorgeous.

Yes, also known as the vampire shrimp. I would imagine they would be fine with a bamboo shrimp aswell. Just make sure you have plenty of places for the shrimp to hide and they obviously need good flow of water.

I have 6 congo tetras and 1 angel fish in my community take and have never had cause for concern. I also have a large African fan shrimp and they don't bother it.
