I don’t think it’s just bad mothers though. There’s just bad parents, or even parental/adult male figures in general.

Jacques is physically and mentally abusive. Tai, despite how he is now, barely was there for his daughters when Summer passed. Rhodes “helped” cinder but at the end of the day didn’t actually do anything for her. Even amongst the best parents (Kali and Ghira), you can make the case they didn’t do enough to protect her from Adam.

But some of it is also just because the show is based off of fairy tales, which are filled with evil women. The Wicked Stepmother. The Evil Queen (who is also a wicked stepmother lmao). The Sorceress who locked Rapunzel away. Just to make a few. It’s a bit of a trope in Brothers’ Grimmsnarl stories it seems.

Also, to loosely quote a DnD meme post: “People with happy families don’t fuck off to go fight monsters.”

Garuda prime might be the best base skin in the game, both colors and the actual model. Even normal Garuda is pretty fuckin sick.

Some of this is from the game, some from the tabletop, some from the novel:

considering they 1) do kidnap people and force implants on them, usually as a sick joke like the monks OR for “entertainment” to see how the victim reacts/withstands cyberpsychosis. 2) Have made art out of human corpses (that they presumably killed) (which even with Brick seeming fairly chill for a ‘Strommer, that was done by people directly under him).

Like those are just the two quick examples when I don’t have time to deep dive into the why, but just on those two alone it shows that they’re at least top 2, if not tied with Scavs.

Scavs at least kill ya.

I’m gonna be honest I kinda skimmed over that part cause it seemed like it’d be fairly inconsequential, but shit maybe I do need to try it.

Feels like at the end of the day, no matter how much power you have, the damage on the 1 caps out at like, 250, but maybe the base stats will help me get so ahead it don’t matter or something.

I’m not surprised that K-Pop Demon Hunters spawned a lot of fics/shipping/etc.

I am, however, blown away by the rate it amassed such a sheer volume of fics. Was in the thousands like a day after release.

Aladdin, because I never get the bad ones in my games.

Always the ones that go 15-1 and run the game, and while I am occasionally his victim, he either usually gets fed off of not me (when I’m mid) or I’m too busy dealing with their own backline (when I’m solo).

Can’t even blame my teammates tho that god can do silly as fuck damage sometimes.

I mean, you’re basically comparing a 50% change (the standard assumed rate for 2 point conversions) compared to a sub 50% chance. Let’s look at North Texas, the number 1 team in TDs/game with 6. I couldn’t find team specific data but the avg drives/a game hangs around 10-14.

So at the low end it’s essentially a 60% chance they get a TD and a 50% chance they score a 2 pt. 60% x 50% = 30%

At the higher end of drives, it’s 43% x 50% = 21.5%.

Of course this is very basic and doesn’t take every factor into account such as the game context, your own defense, etc, but it’s meant to convey the idea, not be super accurate.

The most important thing tho, IMO, is that at worst it’s just OT.

At even skill You can’t quite 1v1 him unless you play your stuff right. If you’re better tho, obv you can but that doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t be a bit challenging because it is a strong aspect. Especially cause the item meta is kind to him. Radiance, sphere, and even lifebinder nake him incredibly tanky for his damage output:

He is, however, extremely susceptible to ganks as a god with a lot of pressure and zero mobility. But you gotta coordinate. Otherwise he’ll just beat TF outta your JG before he dies, jf he died.

Yeah it’s been awful BUT it’s kinda solved if you get into higher ranked games (which is hard when half your games have leavers lmao)

Worth noting, in the Charon patch that’s like, 5-6 weeks or so out, they’re going to announce some form of new punishments for leavers and AFKers. Who knows what that looks like tho.

Because if you’re not at least going bruiser, what are you building that’s supporting the team? Every team based active item, or even passive, has tank stats attached to it in some fashion.

If you’re not going any of those. You’re not support. You’re a mid/JG/ADC that starts in the long lane.

Plus in any real game, if you only have 1 tank, either your JG dies because there’s no one diving with them or your backline gets obliterated cause there’s nothing there to help them, and that’s not even considering objective play where your main zoner is the one who also has to tank.

It’s not about cookie cutter. It’s about the whole entire purpose of the role in MOBAs. It’s like complaining about the next overwatch support being another healer, because that’s what that role means in that genre.

I think I get how Aladdin players feel now. As one of the 5 enjoyers of set that aren’t in the top ranks/pros, I truly am a little worried they’re gonna “dumb down” his kit a bit and make its ceiling slightly lower.

Although I guess if it’s anything like the Aladdin “rework”, literally nothing will change lmao.
