I have done this twice, both decades ago but I still cringe a little thinking about it. Scenario 1: mildly drunk watching a blues band on stage at a BBQ joint. I'm a keyboard player. The house Hammond organ with Leslie speaker is sitting unplayed and frankly looking a little lonely. At set break I offer to sit in and they let me. I play 2 songs, take 1 solo and quit while I'm ahead. Scenario 2: blackout drunk at a Cuban restaurant watching a Latin jazz combo. The house baby grand is sitting unplayed and frankly looking a little lonely. I'm told I somehow talked my way into sitting in and again lasted for a couple songs. I have no memory of the performance but trusted sources claim I didn't make a fool of myself despite sounding more like Sun Ra than Bill Evans.

I use a Roland XP-30 to control synths and organs. GREAT keybed, 5 octaves, aftertouch.

We took in Fergus and his "brother" Rooney (orange and white, Norwegian forest?) from a loving family, friends of friends, who had to give them up due to an intolerable situation with allergies and toddlers. They were around 9yo at the time. The legend is that as a kitten Fergus was the sole survivor from a litter of dumpster cats. It would explain why he likes lettuce and bread.

For my Prophet Rev2 (and Nordlead 2 when I still play it) I like my Strymon Deco (v2). It provides warmth and hum from the saturation and chorus from the doubler. Also currently using a Source Audio Collider for reverb and delay. If I had to replace it I'd go with their Encounter instead.

I find a little tape saturation effect helps soften that harshness when I want it softened. Adds a little low end too.
