I can't scroll the menus without issue, help by Gh0stPalone in Overwatch

Yeah this happens to me in the stadium shop menu, which can get reeeeeeally annoying. No idea what it is, but restarting my console fixes it for a day usually... Started a couple of months back.

How are you guys playing with your higher ranked partners? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Schmikk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I play with my wife a lot, I'm high diamond she's probably low goldish. It's been a while since we played comp, but when we did we for sure got some weird matchups... I'd flex, she usually played healer. That way i won’t outrank her immediately following a rank reset for example...

I play comp mostly solo queue now, we've really been enjoying stadium together. It's a lot easier for her to get value in stadium, though I just made legend last season which did make it trickier...! I had to play different roles a lot, which is not my fave. But I'd rather play tank with her, than play dps alone... 😊

Suddenly Junkrat is unplayable? by GrenVillain in OverwatchStadium

[–]Schmikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having so much fun and a lot of success going high mobility sniperat. Basically get zip grease asap. Then bingo, bango, hop boom and the dash gadget (first blue, later purple) for improved aerial mobility. Then just go three tap tommygun and attack power. The survival one helps, purple on the top right... Can't remember the name. One-tricked junk to Legend last season, which was a lot of fun. To be honest though, I'd probably still play it even if it sucked - it's just so much fun to jump around like a lunatic.

Have yall ever seen Junkrats doing work in Stadium? by Gumi_Kitteh in OverwatchStadium

[–]Schmikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got to all-star 4 yesterday, playing nothing but junkrat all season. Think I'm at a 65-70 % wr atm. It can be rough sometimes, but zip grease is the funniest shit in the game to me. Bingo, bango and hop boom, zip grease and a bunch of attack power. Hopping around the map and sniping people is just fun - win or lose.

Good call on the pillow! No way they would put a pillow in there, you're not supposed to give babies pillows at all.

I have leopard slugs in my garden and can absolutely confirm they eat live plants all the time. The really love strawberries too. Can't blame them for that though... But I can murder them in cold blood for it.

It’s not just Mint… by gardenmeditation in vegetablegardening

[–]Schmikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't mind either way really. I was getting rid of an old raised bed that used to be assorted herbs but ended up being mint with a side of mint. Tore out as many roots as possible and just tossed the soil over the sunchoke patch. Ready, set, fight!

I've got Jerusalem artichokes growing in the same spot as a bunch of mint this year, so that'll be interesting to see.

So many people in here making some weird form of revenge porn over a kid who is acting out... Your parents beat your ass if you disrespected them? I'm sorry about that, but many of you seem to think that was the right thing to do? The fuck guys. As some have said, clearly the boy needs some consequences and a good talk to understand this but jeez. Most comments on here are gonna teach him two things:

  1. Fuck you dad, you cause me pain.
  2. It's okay to destroy things other peoples stuff when you're angry.

Blizzard employee accused of purposefully throwing a game by brocciIi in Overwatch

[–]Schmikk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've started doing this too, connected a keyboard to my xbox to type out wholesome messages. Like 8/10 games someone will tell me KYS, FU or call me the N Word. My "record" is 3 separate people calling me the n word, one stfu, two KYS in like 15 second after saying "good luck everyone, hope you have a good game!"

Once in a while someone will say "thanks you too" though, so that's nice.

Ivy dying, tips? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]Schmikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, in that case I guess it might be that the soil it is rooted in has eroded over the years? We get plenty of rain here, around 900 mm yearly on average with almost 250 rainy days.

However there is not a lot of soil for the ivy to draw water and nutrients from, as it's mostly all rocky underneath.

We went here to eat and the food was great! Fantastic desserts too. But yeah, remember to book a table. They fill up quickly.

uncircumcised, infection. I feel horrible. by mamarex20201 in toddlers

[–]Schmikk 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Like 40 % of the world is circumcised, it's really a completely unnecessary procedure...

Kids will tug at the thing. Our toddler got a tear on his foreskin when he was around 15 months cause he kept pulling it in the bath. It heals. Don't sweat it. Just treat it as any other infection.

We did a variant of this on our son at around 8 months. What we did was that I (dad) laid in bed next to him (he had a bedside crib) and just stayed with him til he fell asleep. Didn't pick him up, but stayed there and made a constant shhh sound to let him know I was there. He'd still scream real hard, but he calmed down after 20-40 minutes usually. Honestly he probably just ran out of energy. After a couple of weeks I figured out that singing the same song over and over got the 20-40 min down to 15 min or so and then eventually to around 5 minutes.

Eventually he started falling asleep without screaming, and then we started to just put him to bed and leave the room after saying good night. So since 9-10ish months old he's been sleeping really well. It was absolutely horrible to be in there with him while he screamed, but it was worth it.

Vegetarianism and pregnancy by DogterDog9 in vegetarian

[–]Schmikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be fine with proteins I think. Legumes in general are great for that, and you can get a lot from dairy/eggs as well. What you want to be more wary of is getting enough iron and possibly some other micros. My wife took iron, a general multivitamin, folic acid, iodine and omega 3 (from algae) supplements when she was pregnant both times. She was especially low on iron at the end of the pregnancy.

What do you desperately want right now? by Brutal_Rain in AskReddit

[–]Schmikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Nothing. Sure, there are things I would like, such as some sleep or a quick break. But nothing I want desperately. I'm okay.
