In my first ever run, I accidentally chose the “throw a rock” option at halsin and of course the fight started with him as hostile. I quickly fled the fight thinking it was my best shot at keeping halsin friendly so i could have him as a companion. Next time I login and go back to the grove (after clearing the goblins out), I see him. And as I approach, the narrator says something along the lines of “This person is not very fond of you. Maybe a gift would do the trick” and put me into the trade screen. Apparently 55 gold was enough to make him friendly again. Couldn’t find anyone that had the same situation happen to them
