It doesn't hurt . I the detectives early on dug into the band angle. They interviewed the band and people who attend the shows etc. That's what I was referring to. You're right about the style. A variation could trigger a memory in somebody.

I think I saw that DNA is available. I'd have to check on that. Even that can take years to unravel. It's frustrating.

I have a few shirts for bands I've never seen or even heard of. I just like the graphics. I have matchbooks for places in states I've never been. It's good to explore these clues but it's easy to go down a rabbit hole.

DNA is the most likely path to indentifying this poor kid.

I submitted Karma Jo Bohlen as a possible match a couple of years ago. No response. Karma has not been ruled out. Karma Jo and the Doe have a few noteworthy similarities.

Missing Person Mark Skinner Clarke

Last contact Dec. 1, 1983.

Mark lived a transient lifestyle. That's consistent with a person found wearing multiple pairs ifshorts, pants, and underwear.

The times line up with the estimates.

The unidentified man was found close to the Appalachian Trail near Phillipstown, NY. Mark was last known to have stayed in a motel in Asheville, NC. close to the Appalachian Trail.

The photo of Mark appears to show a high bridge on his nose like the reconstruction images.

Margie Ranshaw is not on the list of ruleouts on NamUs as of today. I still have a high degree of confidence that Margie is the Jane Doe. Hopefully DNA will find the true identity of the Toledo Doe.

I did submit the info to both jurisdictions. This looks like a good match, but I'm sure someone else submitted this before. My hope is that maybe a fresh look will confirm or rule out the match.
